Did I suggest that? No. I can't disprove you purchased precisely 3 things that were exempt in 2 months. The point I was making instead that 1.6 billion SPENT = 1.6 billion SAVED. The way you phrased your post made it seem like you barely got anything, but it was super expensive. Well that's because you were below the average, if accurate. One can certainly debate whether 1.6 billion SAVED by the canadian people was a good or a bad thing, worth the cost or not, but we shouldn't pretend we get less than 1.6 billion bang for your buck.

Is this even true? Last stats I saw are surely showing the opposite of this. Mexico is supplying what, 98% of all the fentanyl? Where exactly is the potential for the next fentanyl hub? Mexico is going to go through Canada now?
Trust me. We Canadians know we have borders issues. We're dealing with a massive immigration issue right now. Doesn't change the fact orange man was about to destroy multiple economies and with it many many lives.
China actually supplies the fentanyl. But the vast majority of it is sent to Mexico, processed/refined and transported from there to the US. And a tiny fraction is transported from China to Canada for a similar journey.
Also, it can be handled in a more professional, ethical manner; but with the end of Pax Americana and the dollar reserve the US is going to become more protectionist, and nations such as Canada are going to have to accept reasonable tariffs and diversify their exports more. Moving forward Canada's economy isn't going to be able to rely on 80% of their exports going to the US tariff free. It has nothing to do with destroying economies or lives. It is just the inevitable future in a post Pax Americana world.

But really we are a bunch of snobs who are a joke, tons of professions can't even work between provinces, can't even build a pipeline east because Quebec says so. The only booing I'm aware of was it happening at some NHL and NBA games during the day or two between when the tarriffs were officially announced and when they were paused, and unfortunately some have continued since, although I expect that'll die off soon enough. The only thing I've heard about peewee games is in that article you linked where the Quebec mayor is "asking fans not to boo during the American national anthem when US teams play at a Peewee hockey tournament scheduled for next week in the city.", which was "inspired by recent instances of Canadian sports fans...booing and jeering when the US anthem is played when American teams compete in Canadian arenas." But if you know of instances where it actually happened at peewee games, I'd appreciate more info. I'm not a fan of the booing at the professional games, but don't think it's a huge deal - doing so at peewee games would be rather pathetic.
And don't get me wrong - I don't for a minute doubt that a few dingbats might do this, I'm just not aware of it having happened to this point.

If Poilievre loses the election or is even held to a minority that would have to be seen as one of the biggest blunders in Canadian polling history, I think he made a very bad choice by siding with the Americans at first by accepting Musks endorsement and calling us weak, he seems to be doing a backtrack now apparently his new campaign slogan will be "CANADA FIRST" but I think it will be a tough sell, he seems to lack some common sense.
The biggest laugher in all of this has to be Jagmeet Singh and the NDP, most of the Liberal gains are coming from their total collapse one poll had them winning a grand total of 0 seats if an election were held today....lol

I think you missed the vibe from your bubble. Canadians were ANGRY. Furious. It wasn’t they thought they were superior, it was utter outrage that our supposed friends declared economic warfare that would crush our economy and cause a huge amount of hurt. Sure. China is supplying. The point stands. Lozen was using it as a point as to why orange man is correct but the actual Canada fentanyl border issue seems to be a nothing burger.
The US is going to do exactly nothing and a month from now this will all be forgotten. Trump got what he wanted. A victory that never happened but he gets to claim it regardless. Mexico agreed to do something it was already doing and Canada is Canada.
I guess I'm claiming you need to read the article again, as you seem to think it's saying something it isn't. There's not a word in it about anthems having been booed at peewee games. It talks about past booing incidents, but the only example provided was of an NHL game. The mayor seems to be concerned that the behaviour at NHL games could carry over into next week's peewee tournament.
But as I said, if you know of actual incidents at peewee tournaments, I'd like to hear about them.
What's the relevance here - is there a reason to believe that anthem booing over tariffs is only happening on the left?
