In the current news climate we see that some figures and events tend to dominate the front-pages heavily. Still, there are important, interesting or just plain weird things happening out there and a group of people can find these better than one.
I thought I would test with a thread for linking general news articles about "other news" and discussion. Perhaps it goes into the abyss that is page 2 and beyond, but it is worth a try.
Some guidelines:
- Try to find the "clean link", so that links to the news site directly and not a social media site. Avoid "amp-links" (google).
- Write some cliff notes on what it is about, especially if it is a video.
- It's not an excuse to make outlandish claims via proxy or link extremist content.
- If it's an editorial or opinion piece, it is polite to mark it as such.
- Note the language if it is not in English.
- There is no demand that such things be posted here, if you think a piece merits its own thread, then make one.

Prisons are a pretty big industry in America, that would be a lot of American jobs leaving.
And public jobs in many cases, so it would be very good if it happens. I understand it has a low probability of happening.
When he was saying he wanted to expand gitmo to hold illegal immigrants, the first thing I thought of is why not just outsource the job to El Salvador? Then I remembered that would be stealing food from the mouth's of haliburton and their ilk.

They appear to be rehashing medical evidence already covered by the court and aren't taking other circumstantial non medical evidence into account. I'm not so certain her conviction is unsound and this could take several years anyway.

first i heard of it, googled it and skimmed the wiki
at first glance seems like a lot of circumstantial evidence based largely on an investigation stemming from something that could be a statistical outlier but not out of the realm of impossible to happen naturally
a lot of the "post it note confessions" also ring very true to the thoughts and feelings of someone who was present for an unusual amount of baby deaths and told she's responsible and now feels guilty that she killed them via incompetence

This is very good. Forces on the right should skew the payoff matrix, rewarding behaving in a rightwing way even when facing great risks if you do so.

The lack of critical thinking on this subject is astounding. USAID was a thing during Trumps first term (its been a thing since 1961).
Obviously Trump had no idea how deep the corruption was, he knew it was there but not that it engulfed all of our government, including using generals as blackmailed puppets to serve corrupt elite traitors.
This is how byden, pelosi and everyone in gov't became so rich on a 200K/yr salary with multi million dollar homes on beaches (the taxes alone on one home is probably more than their yearly salary). Their cut of the money comes right back like a boomerang right into the pockets of everyone who was involved sending the money, all while our own citizens are homeless due to floods, hurricanes and fires and are left on the back burner.

Trump is getting rid of the entire CIA as well as the top officials at the FBI, two of the many highly infiltrated agencies that I was called a conspiracy theorist for saying years ago that they were compromised. How many more conspiracies will be proven true? Our entire gov't was run like a professional high level mafia operation with the IRS, FEMA and the DHS as their armies.
Trump also announced last night (of which I said there will be a big announcement) he's taking over Gaza. He'll probably build some casinos there, tall luxury hotels and like he said it will become the Riviera of the Middle East (if Canada becomes a state we'll probably end up shipping a lot of the french speaking canadians over there).
