In other news
In the current news climate we see that some figures and events tend to dominate the front-pages heavily. Still, there are important, interesting or just plain weird things happening out there and a group of people can find these better than one.
I thought I would test with a thread for linking general news articles about "other news" and discussion. Perhaps it goes into the abyss that is page 2 and beyond, but it is worth a try.
Some guidelines:
- Try to find the "clean link", so that links to the news site directly and not a social media site. Avoid "amp-links" (google).
- Write some cliff notes on what it is about, especially if it is a video.
- It's not an excuse to make outlandish claims via proxy or link extremist content.
- If it's an editorial or opinion piece, it is polite to mark it as such.
- Note the language if it is not in English.
- There is no demand that such things be posted here, if you think a piece merits its own thread, then make one.

I read politico almost daily and i did that for years. They allow "both sides" to give their opinions, and the left usually makes a mockery of itself when it does. Good information allows you to read the dumb****ery of the other side from time to time. They cover stuff properly. When it's random opinions, they tell you that.
Lol...
Okay, so here is exactly what happened. And let me preface this by saying this takes a sliver of critical thinking to get through, so I know many of you will struggle
There was a study that suggested UV light and heat would weaken the virus
The study also showed that bleach could kill the virus present in saliva or respiratory fluids within 5 minutes and isopropyl alcohol could kill it faster
Trump then said, "And then I see the disinfectant where it knocks it out in a minute. One minute. And is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning?
So yeah, he suggested injecting isopropyl alcohol and bleach to a medical doctor live on air because he wanted to sound smart or proactive or whatever

Cool story bro, doesn't mean government departments should be paying out 500k-millions in subscriptions.
first i heard of it, googled it and skimmed the wiki
at first glance seems like a lot of circumstantial evidence based largely on an investigation stemming from something that could be a statistical outlier but not out of the realm of impossible to happen naturally
a lot of the "post it note confessions" also ring very true to the thoughts and feelings of someone who was present for an unusual amount of baby deaths and told she's responsible and now feels guilty that she killed them via incompeten
Sorry just caught this now. Majority of convictions are due to circumstantial evidence and there's a difference between not out of the realm of impossible and probable in fairness. The totality of the evidence is pretty compelling against her.
How so? Panel claims new evidence but so far haven't shown it and seem to be merely rehashing what was already examined by the court. AFAIK new evidence needs to be highlighted not just rehashing. I don't see how her conviction is unsound or dodgy. This smells like a defence PR media stunt and the media as usual are going with the railroaded innocent narrative to get more clicks. I feel for the victims' families, they don't need or deserve this and the media have a lot to answer for here.
Man the marxists enemies are other people. Politico is actually one of the very few sources which never treated trumpism, or being rightwing in general, as a problem, rather they treated it as just one of the possible political opinions (as it is).
Politico is our friend from the right
Trumpism is just fascism tailored for the age of social media, filtered by influencers to leave out the parts about being anti-democratic and opposed to human rights.
All the evidence for this was laid bare on the first of June, 2020.
As for it being a problem, it is very much is a problem. The only interesting discussion is about whether it was a root problem or a predictable outcome, analogous to debating whether whether someone's heart failure was down to the self-inflicted gun shot wound or the congenital birth defect that made it even deadlier.

Weird how none of the pathological right wingers have any counter to their stupid lie getting instantly debunked
Left = Noble
Right = Diseased
Now I have heard it all.
I guess if you don't know what a word means so you google it and just read the top line and make ignorant assumptions you could come to the conclusion that I said right = diseased.
I dunno how you got left = noble though.
But sure, deflect from the fact that a line of tweets with 250,000 views and 10s of thousands of likes that was posted as a fact was instantly debunked and you have no legitimate response

How did it get "instantly debunked"?
Where did he say to inject bleach? He was talking about UV light (light therapy, I'm sure you're unaware, is a real thing, as are many other modalities that the corrupt health and pharmaceutical industry would rather it stay on the dl since if people don't get sick, they don't make any money or sell any drugs). He mentioned a disinfectant type of a drug, not bleach. He was thinking out loud.
What about the hydroxychloroquine scam? A drug that's been in use for over 50 years all of a sudden became a death pill? When several doctors were claiming success with treating their patients with it, why did the TV bureaucratic gov't doctors all say it's a dangerous drug? How did that make any sense? I'd like to see you try to debunk these much more important facts, not one where things are taken out of context.

Like I said, it takes a sliver of critical thinking to get there....
The disinfectant type of drugs he is referencing were named in the study. The disinfectants were isopropyl alcohol and bleach.
Its really only a two step process but the above two sentences is quite literally and quite clearly him suggesting we inject isopropyl alcohol and/or bleach
It shouldn't even be a big deal, but you weirdos think hes infallible and would die on the sword to defend him
As for hydroxychloroquine: https://www.fda.gov/drugs/drug-safety-an...
The FDA recommended people don't self medicate because people were hurting themselves

How the fk you manage to provide couter arguments to yourself so consistantly?
Your super power is like self refutation.
This is uncanny.
We'll never know what's the cause and what's the effect, but basically being a leftist permanently impairs cognitive functions as proven even in this latest attempt to relitigate a made up narrative.
Trump, with his usual ******ed approach to public speaking, just started thinking out loud about possible stuff to test, and among many he mentioned the possibility of testing bleach injections.
He never even vaguely suggested people at home should have attempted that. some very low IQ trump supporters did try that anyway.
It was just a normal Trump public speech (so a lot of made up stuff, nonsense, confusion , semantic non sequiturs and so on), but it was about a vague hope for future treatments and how basically "experts" should test anything to see what works.
A few low IQ trump supporters, and everyone on the left, thought it was about "what people should do at home".

As for hydroxychloroquine:
Self medicate? How on earth would they be able to "self medicate" when they need a prescription for it? Lmfao. Doctors were prescribing it to their patients who were reporting success with it. In a major global pandemic, this shouldn't of been shot down so quicky by the libtards because of it's "side effects".
The drugs been used SAFELY for decades. Why all of a sudden did it became so dangerous?
And where's the study showing they were testing injecting alcohol into the human body? Any links or clinical info on it?

You are putting up 'coke riddled husk of Rick James' levels of consistency here

It was probably more a reaction to Trumps shotgun blast approach of mentioning unproven treatments that then lead to a rise in complications from various self medications

The study didn't suggest injecting alcohol into the body, Trump did. Are you even trying to follow along? This isn't complicated
