In other news

In the current news climate we see that some figures and events tend to dominate the front-pages heavily. Still, there are important, interesting or just plain weird things happening out there and a group of people can find these better than one.

I thought I would test with a thread for linking general news articles about "other news" and discussion. Perhaps it goes into the abyss that is page 2 and beyond, but it is worth a try.

Some guidelines:
- Try to find the "clean link", so that links to the news site directly and not a social media site. Avoid "amp-links" (google).
- Write some cliff notes on what it is about, especially if it is a video.
- It's not an excuse to make outlandish claims via proxy or link extremist content.
- If it's an editorial or opinion piece, it is polite to mark it as such.
- Note the language if it is not in English.
- There is no demand that such things be posted here, if you think a piece merits its own thread, then make one.

Speaking of lolz. This is what your taxpayer dollars have been paying for.

In the annals of asinine USAID funding bursting into public view under Trump administration scrutiny, the $50 billion-a-year United States Agency for International Development’s efforts to make the world safe for queerocracy ring particularly perverse.

For a window into these most colorful of efforts, consider the cool million bucks you the taxpayer committed in an award for an LGBTQI program adviser you probably didn’t know you needed.

The $969,821 award’s recipient is a longtime activist named Stephen Leonelli.

Curiously, the awardee is now listed as “undisclosed” on the USA Spending website. And Leonelli removed his LinkedIn profile after The Post contacted him.

As per his title, Leonelli was tasked with supporting the hub’s programs “protecting the human rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and intersex individuals” globally.

This, according to an August 2021 USAID blog post, included:

* Efforts resulting in Bangladesh adding a third gender option in its 2021 national census.

* Supporting “gender affirming healthcare” in South Africa, including clinics administering “hormone replacement therapy.”

* “Reducing transgender discrimination and advocating for legal gender recognition in Kosovo.”

* “Increasing LGBTQI+ political participation” in Guatemala.

* Creating a toolkit “to enhance security protections for LGBTQI+ organizations in the Middle East and North Africa.”

Social media posts suggest Leonelli continued these activities under the USAID award that started in August 2022.

- No tax on tips
- No tax on overtime
- No tax on senior social security
- Renew 2017 Middle Class tax cuts
- Tax cuts for American Made products

Let's see it. First 4 should have been Dem platforms if they weren't such cucks

Clintons cleaning up...

The deep state surely has big plans when they finally takeover the half an island nation of Haiti. lol, those Clintons with their 30 year plans.

Well, at least now we know you are worm free. Didn't do anything for your covid, though.

For some reason, I doubt Playbig is actually dewormed. I think he has a brain addling worm like RFK.

Harris "stole" the no tax on tips policy proposal , because it was considered essential to win Nevada by all experts basically.

It wasn't enough because of the incredible success of Trump with latinos (especially white-identifying latinos) but it was a smart attempt by Harris

I'm sorry to say it but you're wrong, this is fake news x1,000.

Our tax dollars weren't paying for all those things, our money went right back like a boomerang into the pockets of all the criminals who approved the money, why would they waste their free money they all scammed on all those things? (except for the gay sesame street episode where they got like 17MM to produce it, but it looks like it was done for about 2K and the rest was their profit).

Bill planning to make a way larger and more epic version of Epstein's island.

Would have been smarter if the Dems could of came up with the idea first.

Whats a little light eugenics among 25 year olds?

Telling Indians to get over it because hes 25 is not the route I'd have gone but it will probably work out for Balaji

In general I agree with the sentiment Housenuts said in the other thread... Should he be fired? Yea. Should this make him unhirable? No. If my twitter account was my real name and I made similar comments, I'd expect to be fired but would also expect it to mostly blow over.

Not that expectations = reality

Why should he be fired for old tweets before he had the current job he's getting fired from, but also not make him unhirable.

I don't mind if they bring him back, it's not like he threatened to kill anyone.

These kids aren't your average 19 to 25 year old, they're extremely smart computer nerd Sofware engineers that are working long hours and sleeping in their office all so they can find and disclose all of the major corruption and fraud that's been going on.

They also found proof the MSM is a puppet arm for them, which is why the media's top story today is "OMG A kid working on DOGE isn't interested in marrying someone of a different race" instead of the biggest story in our nation's history, which is a country being taken back after it was turned into a criminal mafia style money laundering ring.

Non violent. non cohercive eugenics simply isn't something bad at all, in any way or form. It's actually what most people do when they choose to abort a very defective fetus, or choose a partner they think has over average genes.

Free will/choice is the ultimate form of eugenics and is the basis for the modern liberal approach but I think there is solid evidence this kid wasn't talking about a modern liberal approach and in general we should avoid the topic

He was he said he wouldn't marry another ethnicity even if paid, that's the voluntary approach isn't it? how is that claim morally bad? the vast majority of people do prefer to marry within their own ethnicity as proven by revealed preferences, everywhere.

If blacks didn't prefer marrying black, 88% of the times they would marry a non black in the USA.

They don't marry non blacks 88% of the times, rather far less. Are they racist in doing this? i don't think so. Or if that is racism, that's not a bad thing anyway.

We shouldn't avoid the topic given you are roasting that person for expressing something that the vast majority of human beings agree with (ie an inherent strong preference for partners of your own ethnicity).

Asking for interracial marriage to be banned would be racism of the bad kind. Saying you wouldn't personally ever entertain the idea of marrying another ethnicity is bad why exactly?

Let me preface this by saying that I personally think you are pushing a line you shouldn't. You know you are being disingenuous on a touchy subject and it would be beyond charitable to let you continue.

“Normalize Indian hate,” “Just for the record, I was racist before it was cool.” “I just want a eugenic immigration policy, is that too much to ask.”

You aren't going to argue that those comments are acceptable or related to liberal preference. Full stop.

It is common knowledge that indian parents will push their kids very often , sometimes in extreme ways (like "you will lose inheritance if you don't do this"), toward marrying withing their own ethnicity.

It was incredibly common for italian and irish people to push their kids to marry catholic partners which is why you have so many irish-italians in the USA.

Selecting immigration IS related to preference, given allowing someone to enter is a privilege, which depending on your preferences, should be accorded to some people and not to some other people (that is what the vast majority of the population believes, only a tiny minority is ok with completly unfiltered immigration).

You can dislike that mindset as much as you want but it's not a kind of racism that normal people find problematic. The left does of course (when made explicit, even if most leftists do live according to similar concepts), you are not supposed to say out loud what 80% + of the people thing on these topics.

But the left doesn't govern anymore so the leftist set of allowed preferences doesn't command any moral virtue anymore in the USA (for now). You don't even control social media anymore.

According to you i am not even allowed to claim that those claims aren't problematic. Wtf? your tribe moral set of values isn't worth anything anymore. And the right should not live by the previous rules anymore, which is why that guy should be re-instated as the VP said as well.

I mean are we at the point i am not even allowed to agree with the vice president on something?

Everyone is allowed to have their personal preference. Everyone is even free to express their personal preference. Hes not going to face jail time or charges unless he were to break the barriers of a hate crime which generally requires specific calls for racial harm.

When you put your personal preferences into the public, then they aren't personal anymore. I'm pretty sure there is a guy of Indian decent on the DOGE team. Is that Indian guy supposed to just suck it up? Is he allowed to beat the racist within an inch of his life for spreading hate? Its an untenable situation. This is the foundation of an equitable society. You treat people with decency and respect because you want to be treated with decency and respect. When we don't enforced decency and respect for all, we have an unravelling of decorum like we've seen the last decade.

"I hate this ethnicity and think we should do like the Nazis" (paraphrased) should of course be disqualifying for civil service.

This simply on the basis that as a public servant, you are expected and required to serve people of that ethnicity fairly.

It isn't like finding a civil person with decent qualifications is hard, and nor is it like anything of value is lost by dropping racist immature dingbats.
