It takes a special kind of stupid to run casinos into bankruptcy. It's a business where customers literally hand you their money for almost nothing in return.

don't forget that was used against romney as "out of touch with the people making 10k wagers most couldn't afford" as if that made any of his opponents both in the primaries and in the general election not multimillionaires as well

1 casino in AC went out of business in 2007 and 5 more went out of business between 2014 and 2016
hundreds of casinos have gone bankrupt and it's rarely due to not managing the gaming room well, it's usually due to market saturation, new areas opening up to gambling and draining customers, or just market downturns
there's a lot of stuff to point out about trump being an incompetent fool, but pointing out he lost some casinos at a time when the entire ecosystem was going bust isn't one of them
there's also zero chance he had anything to do with running the day to day operations there

there
I dunno man, you keep pointing out that there is lots to criticise Trump for, but every time someone criticises him for something, you point out why it's not one of those things. Are you sure there is lots to criticise him for?

because they keep on harping on stupid things when there's 3 very easy to verify things which are scathing
1 man was an incompetent executive, his staffers would literally pick and choose which orders he gave them to actually do because they knew full well he'd forget that he asked them to do it - bannon would repeatedly go to his desk and remove executive orders waiting to be signed because he personally disagreed with them and trump would forget about it - sometimes it became a comical cat and mouse game where a few months later trump would remember "hey what happened to that" but only because it was in the new cycle again or someone told him about it, not that he'd ever remember on his own and then they'd draw up the paperwork again and bannon would then again just grab it off his desk and of course he'd once again forget about it
2 he didn't care about the country, he only cared about how he was perceived as the president, he spent every single evening of his presidency watching cable news networks scanning for mentions of himself to the point where journalists now semi troll him with a "hi donald we know you're watching" from time to time and he would literally dictate his policies based on the praise or lack of praise he received
ie he was staunchly anti war and anti involvement in syria - but then the generals got him in a room and convinced him to launch some missiles into the country, he agrees with it and then starts calling up various world leaders on the phone just to brag about how badass he was launching missiles into syria, then the news lauded the efforts to strike syria and he immediately calls the generals back and goes "cnn, macron, & xi were all super impressed by those missile strikes, who else can we hit now?"
dude is just an incompetent buffoon with zero principles who would use the nuclear launch codes if he had some staffers show him some polling that a nuclear sneak attack on north korea would make him the most popular president ever
but here's the big one
3 committed treason
that is not someone you want in charge

Kamala Harris’ speech before Economic Club of Pittsburgh on Wednesday,
where she presented her economic policies and did not hold back her thoughts on Donald Trump.
If Donald Trumps Tariffs are so bad why didn't they remove them when Joe and Kamala were in office ?
Why did Biden bring in more tariffs after he voted in as well ?
let's also not forget donald refused to read anything and needed to have everything presented to him verbally and in person and people had to learn to pitch things in less than a minute and in a way that was sure to draw his attention
he literally ran the country like a vc picks startups for a 2nd meeting on demo day but unlike the vc he doesn't follow up with a 2nd meeting nor do any due diligence, he's just like "hey that's a great pitch, we're going to give you 4 billion dollars worth of resources now go for it"
because again, his days were filled with public appearances and golfing and his evenings sequestered alone in his room with nothing but television and cheeseburgers
worked far less than any president we've ever had in our history
No one says all tariffs are bad. Braindead policies like PUT A TARIFF ON EVERYTHING like trump is suggesting are bad.
he's literally the only president to leave office without markedly different facial structure in our entire history because for him it was not the daily grind where he's working from waking up until they fall asleep but instead just a few hours a day of hearing 5 minute pitches and saying yes or no and then leaving the room
Tariffs as a plan to bring down prices or inflation are stupid.
Tariffs for national security or as retaliation make a little more sense.
Trump saying that he’s going to do huge tariffs to decrease inflation is next level insane.
how many of Trump's tariffs did Biden rescind?

I didn't know Canada was a national security threat or what retaliation they needed before Biden imposed Tariffs on CDN soft wood lumber and other items ?
Also if Climate change is such a huge threat and you want everyone to drive electric cars why impose a 100% tariff on Chinese electric cars ?
I don’t see any point in discussing free trade with a communist

The tariffs on Chinese EVs are to protect American manufacturers from unfair business practices (the allegation is that China is subsidizing production to flood foreign markets). This is all easily google-able. The US is not alone in implementing these tariffs. EU has done the same for the same reason.
we absolutely should keep tariffs sky high on chinese products
a buick which costs 30k in the US goes for 80k in china after tariffs
iphones, despite being made in china, cost much more than in the us
they blocked a bunch of websites like twitter/facebook/google so their own mulibillion dollar search and social enterprises could flourish
even those which were not banned like amazon and uber just couldn't compete against the subsidized locals of taobao and didi
there's plenty of industries which foreign companies are outright forbidden, or if they are allowed in, it's only through a joint venture that includes technology transfer and then what always happens is the chinese half of the jv eventually either finds a way to dilute and wipe out the foreign owned side of the enterprise or after a few years they take the tech and knowledge they gained and fund their own competitor while remaining as partners in the jv to sabotage it from within
chinese have never played fairly in either trade or domestic business practices and they really exploited a whole lot of companies with their "what if we got a foothold in china?" mentality and just gaped them
i'm fully supportive of drastic tariffs against all chinese goods and services and wish we were more thorough as because it's us and our government is run by a bunch of incompetent neanderthals, many of the companies are able to avoid tariffs with ease simply by just routing the shipments through hanoi and pretending they were built there
we need to do more, what we have now is laughable and easily exploited
