Qatar is a US ally since 1991 (Defense Cooperation Agreement signed) and hosts a large US military base at Al Udeid -- that is, a Qatari base which the USAF and the RAF are allowed to use, the American presence being the largest. The Americans have tankers and a command and intelligence HQ there all the time, with fighters, bombers and recon aircraft as required.
Mountain Home AFB in Idaho is a USAF base, home to the F-15Es of the 366th Fighter Wing. It also hosts the Republic of Singapore Air Force's F-15SG training squadron and will now host the Qatari Emiri Air Force's F-15QA training squadron. The SG and QA are variants of the E-model Strike Eagle, principally an air-to-ground platform (i.e. bomber), and the terrain around Mountain Home is useful for training tactical bomber pilots. The deal to make Mountain Home available to the QEAF was done under the Biden administration, but, given the usual slow timetable for these things, the final letter of agreement has only just been signed.

The Nazis killed 90% of Jews in certain regions. There also was never a mass starvation campaign as the Hamas propaganda claimed. It’s a dumb comparison. Not everything bad that happens is a holocaust. It’s not even the worst war still happening in the Middle East.
Hamas had a deal on the table to lay down their arms in exchange for an international oversight over a new government of Gaza that was apolitical and would have seen tens of billions of dollars pour in. Maybe you like that, but to me I don’t think that’s good for the population of Gaza.
And really all you’ve said is that war sucks. Yes, war sucks, that’s why terrorist political organizations that start wars with much greater armies than them (Houthis, Hamas) suck. It always seems like the disgusting terrorists manage successfully to hide behind innocent civilians.

This is moving the goalposts. The war started on October 7th. Any progress in moving forward the political situation has to be done in the context of a post-war environment.

If it was enough aid to keep people from starving that is by logical consequence not a starvation campaign.

The clan Hamas has started with just murdered a beloved and brave journalist/actor/social media personality. Also they kidnapped a white British guy in 2007 and held him for like 4 months until Hamas secured his release.
