Then hope for better but don't criticize every thing they do and ignore the atrocities that people who would put you in an oven just for your genetics are doing
It's been a long time since bible studies but I'm 99.99% the Old Testament and some parts of the Torah that didn't make it into the Catholic Bible, have verses on being fair and just toward your enemies because: 1. it's the right thing to do; 2. it's the best way to triumph over evil; 3. it's necessary to fight our own demons within.
Israel needs to do better.
Not really
Read the actual stories of what the macabees did (will this is in the prophets not torah)
Look what god did to the Egyptians (killed all their first born because the Pharoah wouldn't free the Hebrews)
Jews didn't fight back when they were brought into concentration camps
Never again

I'm not talking about fairy tales. My Jewish tradition is more like Albert Einstein and Groucho Marx and less like the Macabees and Moshe Dayan.
God said to Abraham kill me a son
Abe said man you must be putting me on
In a previous post he referenced Queen Esther saving the Jews and I just… dude, you know these stories aren’t real, right? …..Right??
Anyway
If these icc arrest warrants happen ... things will get interesting
Israel is good
They do some not good things and can be criticized for them
They shouldn't be held to a different standard than anybody else though
By what measurement is Israel good
Israel does bad things ? Yes or no
Israel is being held to the same standard all rich western countries are held to
Old man Nicodemus could not make his heart believe
He could see that Jesus had some tricks up his sleeve
Said now, Oh man, Jesus I can't do things your way
But I can see you work with somebody big, so I'm backing your play

War cabinet minister Benny Gantz said that the government would have no right to exist if it blocks a hostage deal, adding that the return of the hostages is of greater importance than a military operation in Rafah. His comments came after far-right Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich told PM Netanyahu that if he cancels the planned ground offensive in Rafah, his government would have no right to exist.
Gantz is doing what opposition does: pretend there are no hard tradeoffs.
if you want a derail for the next 24h.
What would happen if Israel sent 5000 paratroopers to Ukraine? To help "train" folks.
Thought hit me while cooking dinner. Pretty Game of Thrones.
"It appears that Israel is willing to agree to a reduced number of hostages being released at this stage – 33 instead of the 40 it had previously demanded. But this also depends on what Hamas will demand in return – and we have already seen vocal opposition from the extreme right wing" - Amos Harel
This should make y'all happy
Defense Minister Gallant signed warrants for detention without trial against five Israeli settlers. The five had a central role in attacks against Palestinians earlier this month after the discovery of Israeli teen Binyamin Ahimeir's body, a security source told Haaretz. Overnight into Sunday, two settlers were arrested after clashing with Israeli forces near the Palestinian village of Susya.

Yeah, that's one of the easiest ways to date when the bible was written with almost no work. Nothing it says in the Pentateuch is remotely historical, even about the most major figures like Moses, Abraham or Noah. Then it starts getting random non important stuff correct like the name of a minor Assyrian King who's Nephew took the throne because he died without a son during the reign of Nebuchadnezzar II.
Someone says "it says in the torah mets
Mets gives an example in the Torah
Lol mets for quoting fairy treasures
Sometimes i really think I'm on the jamie Kennedy experiment
Like the post was stating, it's unclear whether you actually believe some of the more obvious fictional tales in the Torah. You can either clearly state one way or the other, or continue to pretend to be some kind of victim.
