If nothing else the moderation guidelines should be changed, as they state that no bigotry is allowed. It seems obvious that some forms of bigotry are allowed. That this is because the active mods don't think said bigotry is hurtful or harmful isn't very relevant, it would still be having your cake and eating it too.
Regs can't put mods on ignore either, so hot takes and flame bait have more of an impact.
Also, it seems like some people are trying to accuse everyone who points to these statements as somehow being "pro-incel", "anti-feminists" or misogynists with an agenda. This is just a bad take. Pointing out prejudice against women isn't a disservice to men, and pointing out prejudice against men isn't a disservice to women.
That such statements certainly invite misogynists and anti-feminists to come in and score some cheap points is certainly true, however. But that isn't the fault of everyone else.
Maybe there is a joke somewhere that I'm not seeing, but the "it is just a joke, bro"-argument of 2025 is a bit worn down at this point.

I'm on your side on this stuff, but I gotta say, there IS a loneliness epidemic, both male and female. There are reams of evidence suggesting an increase of isolation with each new passing generation. More and more of our lives are spent on the internet, right?

I'll be completely honest with everyone here, I don't think its serious enough to write up posting guidelines. That sounds like a lot of work and I'm all about avoiding work as much as possible.

Not sure if it requires guidelines. Issue that I had aside, I think things kinda snowballed and escalated a bit. But ultimately just a heated exchange.
