I decide when I respond thanks. And I've dealt with you enough times to know the value or your input. I don't think you're my enemy, I just don't value anything you say.

It's easy if you have politics different from 90% of the population.
It's harder when you think it's a team sport I imagine.
A lot of it comes down to profits being driven by outrage. Media makes money by keeping people angry, pushing the “outrage of the day” to keep people on edge all the time. And until that negativity for profit changes, its going to trickle through everyone to some degree and **** things up. It happens everywhere.
Its like being a professional nfl fanatic. Your team can literally move, trade all of its players for the players of the team you were suppose to hate and change its name and ownership. Literally everything about the team you rooted for could be different but youre still a raging fan because youve been pushed to be one.
It happens in the cap v com thread when folks are literally arguing for and against the same exact **** depending on who is serving it.
I'm sure there are some circumstances where you could have family with such shitty views that it warranted cutting them off. Like if they couldn't help always bringing up talking points from whatever their media of choice is-- I could see that getting really annoying. But it's probably better to just subtlety mock them.
No one is forcing you to draw conclusions based on what you could probably assume was incomplete information. For obvious reasons, people often choose not to disclose every detail about family stuff on public message boards.
yeah but if you don't want to go to a certain restaurant your friends are planning everyone to go to next friday because the last time you were there the staff dragged you into the kitchen and gang raped you & for whatever reason you do not want to disclose that to your friends

but if you instead say "i had sex with a bunch of employees in the kitchen last time" then don't be surprised if the response is less about "oh darling that's awful, we will choose another location" and instead just elicits gossip and eye rolls
