I’ve said it before but it bears repeating- appearance is NOT the reason men are un****able.

If the dude in the photo was emotionally intelligent, a thoughtful communicator, empathetic, kind, with decent values, he would never have a problem getting his dick wet.

Once that starts to sink in, men will at least be headed in the correct direction. Most men are lost because they refuse to listen when women actually tell them what they want- they’d rather make up theories and excuses for themselves that fit a more comfortable narrative, like women want to **** alphas or their dads, rather than they just don’t want to **** YOU for legitimate reasons.

Be better people. Be likeable at a bare ****ing minimum! That is the answer.

That’s a route to the friend zone or maybe the future hubby zone, not the **** zone.

Giving people advice on how to find a sexual partner is going to be pretty useless for the type of men that get called incels. Usually they’re missing some basic components, like having a good job, an education, a friend group, something to live for that is external to their own hedonistic desires…

If they really have all that and then can’t find a girlfriend or sexual partner maybe it’s time to think about changing the way they communicate. But usually it’s putting the cart before the horse to be going after women when you don’t even have anything that would make women attracted to you.

And then, of course, established couples are often celibate for much or even all of the time, and quite often one of the couple is unhappy about this.

Its incredibly easy to get laid without a good job, an education, or any friends, its just that the type of masculine framing that women tend to go for also generally leads to education, good job, and friends.

Confident, self assured, occasionally funny, and principled. Thats the basic framework for getting laid, but thats the basic framework for "being a man" too. Its hilarious to say that basic framework is somehow "under attack" when the reality is men just don't generally display those basic characteristics anymore

And many of you will read "confident, self assured" as cocky ******* and that would be wrong

Lol at this rant. Everyone knows that ugly/fat dudes can get laid. The dude that was posted is the typical incel (i.e., lacking the qualities you outlined), exemplified by his texts that were leaked.

I agree, but there is a sense that “incel” is a fine term for a certain type of ideology. But men are called incel for all types of reasons unrelated to ideology.

How confident are you that you actually know the dating scene for young men? I’m not confident I do. So if a young man was to ask me for advice, mine is a lot more actionable than yours is.

By saying it’s easy to get laid you might be straight up telling them falsehoods.

Or you may be saying something true, that with your personality, etc it’s easy for you to get laid. But some people are born with ez mode. Your anecdote might not go for everyone.

My advice is tried and true not just for getting laid but living a good life.

As for the principles thing… Right-wing men get laid too, I know that’s a hard one for people to process, but even disgustingly racist and sexist right-wing men get laid. It seems like you and crossnerd are projecting what you wish was true rather than what’s actually true about the sexual economy.

You speak for all women now? Many women say that men are not manly and old-fashioned enough too. It’s not like there is just one type of woman that prefers one type of man in the world.

I mean, sure, but also he'd have a much easier time of it if he was attractive and in shape. There are definitely a lot of mediocre guys who are getting there in large part because of looks.

My post wasn't providing advice. I can provide detailed actionable advice if thats what you really want, but this isn't a Pick Up forum or even thread so not sure why I'd detail the formula for getting laid here

It's not as rational as that, in fact it's not a rational thing at all, and it works out in all kinds of ways, many of them often bad.

Uh yeah, there are 8 billion people in the world with many different cultures and etc. Its not a one size fits all thing, its a broad brush meant to provide the most overlap

Like, step one to getting laid is actually to be polarizing. You want to eliminate people who wont be attracted to you as fast as possible

Of course not. But you seemed to be replying to me and disagreeing. The problem is that in lieu of having the type of personality you’re talking about, there are things that make young men more attractive, and sometimes when society makes it harder for them to have those things they blame the wrong people and search for the wrong answers.

It is a personal problem but it’s also a political problem. People ranting about incels want it to be just a personal problem when it’s not. All of those things I’m talking about are in many ways becoming harder for young men to obtain, though not impossible.

Unfortunately for the dude in the picture the only thing he is gonna get is a fat ugly girl. People are as faithful as their options.

A lot of times I just go ugly early to save time.

When I was young, I had a friend that always went for the "curvy" plain girls. Their good-looking friend (because that's how they always roll) would be so happy that "curvy" was getting some that it was easy pickings.

Even the language you use is off-putting, like saying you’re gonna “get laid”. Men continue to frame sex as this transactional process of acquiring something from a passive participant, like it’s a goal to achieve rather than an experience to share.
