Trump 2nd term prediction thread
So, looks like Trump not only smashed the electoral college, but is looking on track to win the popular vote, which seems to be an unexpected turn of events, but a clear sign of the current temperature in the country and perhaps the wider world.
Would be interested to hear views on how his 2nd term will pan out from both sides of the aisle - major happenings, what he's going to get done, what he's not going to get done, the impact of his election on the current conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza, whether his popularity will remain the same, wane, or increase, etc.
A bit of an anemic OP, I know, just interested to hear people's thoughts now that the election uncertainty is over.
Not necessarily, but if trump goes all-in on "drill baby drill" that could effect prices for decades to come. Clinton could have effected the prices to day if he went all-in on fossil fuels or green energy.
In general, I don't think presidents get enough credit or blame for what happens after their time as president and too much credit/blame for things that happen during their term(s). For instance, look at the stark difference in who economists would name as the president who deserves the most

you never heard of the proportionality rule that basically forced Canada after NAFTA to export massively and increasing (with overall production) quantities of oil to the USA? that went away on paper with Trump "redoing " of the treaty but pipelines are a sticky thing and sunk costs have insane inertia so basically Canada is selling you a lot more oil than it would have otherwise of specific grades with your refineries make into gasoline properly because they have been optimized for it which canada couldn't easily sell elsewhere now unless they spend a **** ton to redo the insanely complicated logistics, so you have cheaper oil to make into gasoline that you would otherwise have had thanks to Clinton, and that's still going on.

Not on sight but after judgement if they pass unconstitutional provision and the law forbids that and so on.
Unfortunately my model isn't the law in your country (or any other) so elected officials can disregard the constitution, and the damaged individuals have to seek redress in courts.

Canada created their own problem by only having limited markets for their oil and refining

Why do you think African Americans will fair worse under trump? We’ve already had 4 years of trump - do you think they did bad during his first term and if so why do you think that?

You could also take this definition of equity and act ignorant to what I mean: the value of a mortgaged property after deduction of charges against it. Although it wouldn’t have been smart of you to do so you still would have sounded smarter than your actual response.
Impartial is likely the last word an educated or almost educated person would use when describing equity in the sense that it is used today when talking about college admissions, hiring and promotions in company.
