Trump 2nd term prediction thread

Trump 2nd term prediction thread

So, looks like Trump not only smashed the electoral college, but is looking on track to win the popular vote, which seems to be an unexpected turn of events, but a clear sign of the current temperature in the country and perhaps the wider world.

Would be interested to hear views on how his 2nd term will pan out from both sides of the aisle - major happenings, what he's going to get done, what he's not going to get done, the impact of his election on the current conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza, whether his popularity will remain the same, wane, or increase, etc.

A bit of an anemic OP, I know, just interested to hear people's thoughts now that the election uncertainty is over.

Nothing beats a perfectly seared foie gras in a veal demi-glace with a side of lobster tail…

Is the notion that crazy? Force-feeding ducks, keeping calves immobilized and boiling lobsters alive seems to qualify. Inflicting that kind of suffering goes past simply killing them for food. Are there animal cruelty laws that you support?

Luciom = Borat on this issue.

I don’t need to watch the clip. I’d love to try ortolan. I just know it’s delicious…

I mean, it's not like we needed more evidence from Luciom of "anything I don't like is radical leftism", but banning foie gras being communism is... something.

Most people have never seen an entire lobe of foie gras. It’s jarring that it fits inside a duck.

General's promotion blocked in first sig...

The pull-out he orchestrated...🙄

  • Trump negotiated with the Taliban terrorists and excluded the Afghan Army
  • Trump drew down US forces from 13,000 to 2,500 making them vulnerable
  • Trump ordered the release of 5,000 Taliban fighters from prison, one of who would become the new leader of Afghanistan
  • Trump wanted to invite the Taliban to camp David on the anniversary of 9/11
  • Trump agreed to the May 1st exit, not Biden, then bragged that he didnt need an exit strategy.
  • Trumps admin refused to brief the Biden team on the incoming situation
  • Trump shut down every airbase in Afghanistan except one, crippling the US’s ability to extract itself safely.

That's no impediment to speaking authoritatively on the topic on it for a man of his boundless opinions and bounded expertise.

I said "I don't know" and I commented on Italy where I know what the rules are. Not sure what you are talking about here.

...Why would you expect cheese that has worms in it to be awesome? I just can't wrap my head around that, sorry.

It has to be awesome. It's not a tik tok challange or some pothe nonsense so there's no other reason that people would eat it

The fact that you were unaware that school children are allowed to eat their own food suggests a deep lack of understanding of what life is like in the United States, which of course calls into question the validity of any of your opinions about the USA. You very clearly do not know what life is like here.

or in the UK either, which is another topic that he attempts to pontificate about authoritatively.

Trump just did another one of his 3-4 min videos this time on Russia-Ukraine, after 1 min about that he went about how the biggest threat to western societies is domestic, the left basically.

I don't "pontificate about the UK "authoritatively, i actually tend to ask a lot of questions there in the thread. I am just sad about how terrible the UK has become

No, you usually tells us how things are but get the cause completely wrong.

5 years socialism = NHS best public health care organisation on earth, social security system, mass public housing, working class families lifted out of poverty for the first time.

45 years of Thatcher/Hayek neoliberalism laissez-faire capitalism = everything literally is ****.

brexit is the literal opposite of neoliberal laissez-faire capitalism, free trade especially with neighbors is a key pillar of neoliberalism.

And "net 0" environmental regulatory push is the literal opposite of laissez-faire as well. As is taking in immigrations on welfare (while free entrance of productive people is neolib capitalism).

I think you're getting your tequila from the wrong bootlegger.

I can say one thing for certain. Luciom knows less about school lunch in the U.S. than he does about any topic in the world.

Population density in South Dakota.

State Laws concerning raw milk sales?

Definition of Marxist or communist?

Constitutional law?

Brexit wasn't ever about imposing tariffs and no one wanted them, but they were an unavoidable consequence. That accounts for the last few years but none of the previous 40.

This is a great example of you attempting to talk authoritatively about things you don't understand, or are pretending you don't understand for rhetorical purposes.

so the only good thing that Biden did during his regime was actually organized and initiated by Trump.

talking trash by making up things is your game I understand that. have fun I guess, I thought we were among adults though

It's not trash to point out that you were unable to understand basic HS level stuff despite multiple people explaining it to you multiple times. I honestly still don't think you understand the pretty basic stuff I explained to you; why exit polls badly missed trumps white college support, why you can't assume non random subsets of populations preserve tends seen on population level data etc . This isn't even political, other than anything requiring thinking is by definition left wing to you.

I was able not only to understand, but to go way above what you were talking about, and you hadn't understood at all what other people were talking about and inserted yourself in the sole attempt to "make me look bad" which I mean, I get it,your tribe got annihilated in elections and you want "revenge", but you got to look for it elsewhere.

I do understand your claims and you went from "we can't say STEM degree voted from trump more than other degree holder" to "the top1% of STEM degree didn't " to cover your sad ass on an indefensible claim.

Accept it, people with a degree in engineering (IE, some od the most useful, productive, civil, decent people o
In society, the pulsong core of what makes the USA a rich first world country) in the USA voted for trump more than other degree holders.

You know it's true, obviously true, blatantly true, but you feel bad about it so you try to cope but going after me.

Regardless of any of the above, you did (and still do) stubbornly refuse to either understand or acknowledge that the male-female split can't be taken to be constant across non-randomly selected subgroups. Maybe you found that to be an invalid claim, but if so, you didn't explain why, even after it had been raised by both me and eda at least twice each. When you just outright ignore objections like that it's only natural for your interlocutors to assume that you have no response and are just stubbornly pressing ahead with your argument regardless.
