Elon obviously deserves that, and far worse. I'm equally happy if Nazis did it, or if commies did it, or anyone in between. And nothing will change, Republicans will still go around crying rivers of tears any time somebody's precious PROPERTY is destroyed -- while simultaneously going around killing PEOPLE and bringing misery to them and theirs.

I think you are all jumping to conclusions here.
1. One lefty in NY vandalizing does indicate who is responsible for these random acts across the country. If anyone has proof that these events are coordinated and organized (like jan 6 was), let see it.

3 Inso has proven that since Tesla is self insured, Elon has no motivation to be involved in the destruction of his property.
There are numerous ways car dealers finance their inventory which may not be the same as Tesla as I understand they do not sell to dealers.
The initial report was that Elon was doing this for the purpose of blaming the violent left. With insurance, it could be zero cost publicity not a money making venture.

In the grand scheme of Tesla's accounting, this would be like thinking Walmart is going to file an insurance claim if someone dropped a pallet of TVs and broke them all. If a third party trucker did it, sure, charge them for it and let him decide what to do. That independent trucker might not be able to absorb a $6000 mistake. If he has a $2500 deductible, maybe he files a claim against his liability policy. If he has a $10k deductible, he's obviously SOL. Walmart won't do business with him if he doesn't have a policy, so they're getting paid no matter what. That's why it's a big deal if a third party is at fault, AND that third party is known. If a Walmart employee did it? No, they're going to just eat it.
Well-capitalized businesses typically keep deductibles high to ensure premiums stay low, and whatever your understanding about insurance providers not being able to adjust premiums based on loss history is utter bullshit. For retail policies, just ask a Kia or Hyundai owner about that. Or ask someone trying to get homeowners insurance in California and Florida. For corporate insurance, it's doubly bullshit.
As to why I'm certain they're effectively self-insured for these small acts of vandalism? This isn't just any corporation, it's one of the top 10 most valuable corporations in the world. It's financial malpractice to be paying insurance premiums that would cover such tickytack nonsense when you have the overall level of resources and exposure that Tesla does.
I don't know exactly what the breakpoint is where it becomes worth it to engage insurance as Tesla, but it's definitely not a couple cars being started on fire by unknown vandals. If they caught one of these people red-handed, then yes, Tesla is going to demand compensation from that party.
Independently owned dealerships are a different story because a few lost cars might represent a much larger piece of their financial pie, just like the trucker that destroyed 3 weeks of wages by dropping the pallet of TVs. Context matters.

You forgot to answer whether you think all my other posts are just super high quality and that's why that one was my worst one ever or if there is some concrete reason why simply asking a question is my worst post ever.
