This appears to not be the case. More discussion here:

This has been audited recently. Elon didn’t discover anything unknown and it appears that almost none of those SSNs are receiving payment. Hopefully alarming to people giving Elon the benefit of the doubt that he either didn’t do the most basic research before making his fraud claims or he’s just lying. :

Not a chance. They'll just say something about cracking eggs, omelettes, and batting percentages.

I read the first line and its pretty much impossible to take you serious. I see you ended with the remove power for the left permanently bit. We are so fundamentally opposed ideologically I can't force myself to begin to engage with this post

Excuse but you fish for an explanation of their mentality, of how they actually approach life and politics, and i give you one.

You dislike it too much so you give up.

Do you actually want to understand them or not? i don't agree with 100% of what i wrote above. I am describing to you what the normal pro-maga/trump twitter account content has been about since Musk bought twitter., and how the comments defined the preferences of that base.

They actually hate you, deeply, they are willing to suffer even a lot if that makes leftists suffer more, not sure how else to convey that.

You said they don't express the end goal, i said it was transparent "fovever". They want to destroy people like you and your political representatives and are willing to go allin to do so, and that's it, that's the goal. They want to make sure "never again" guys that agree with you and represent your view have meaningful power to affect their lives.

Btw to be clear a non negligible portion of them hate people like me as well. They see people like me (when they can vote in the USA) as necessary allies to win elections , but they despise our lack of conservative values and my disregard for the welfare of poor american.

Every single claim Musk has made so far has been easily refuted. Most of it is public information.

So far exactly zero people have observed this critically and changed their opinion of Musk or whats happening

I thought you were saying this is what I want, not what they want

Just to add insult to injury, there are about 60 million SSNs receiving social security from retirement.

https://www.ssa.gov/oact/STATS/OASDIbeni...

For Musk’s claim to be true, about a third of them are fraudulent and no one realized. Also, take a wild guess how many US citizens are above the age of retirement. Pretty close to that 60 million mark.

Just unbelievably stupid.

Follow me a sec: imagine they go on here and there for say a week or 3 or 2-3 months , not talking exclusively about this, but insisting about how massive and unprecedented SS fraud is (with the responsability being entirely democrat).

Just to prepare the ground for slight tweaks in future benefits in reconciliation, or slight increases in payroll taxes, which ofc they will claim are necessary to fix the damage caused by decades of democrat-managed fraud which they now stopped, but which destroyed the nation accounting system and SS fund.

Does it look "unbelievably stupid" to you under those lens?

There's nothing fraudulent or wasteful about social security. Everything working as it should be. Social security program goes bankrupt by _____

He hasn't been a serious poster (except in his own mind) for quite some time. I recently switched to viewing The Colonel as the equivalent of a trained seal barking away at anything that walks by. Best ignored, but occasionally I throw a dead fish at him to watch the entertainment.

Social security is the one ponzi almost everyone is in favor of.

When people were saying he was evaluating how much work programmers did by comparing how many lines of code they wrote the response was "yeah, that sounds like something he'd do".

Basing performance on how many lines of code you can write is the pinnacle of nerd lol.

Then he fires the level 6 with -6000 lines of code in the last 6 months

So you’re saying to lie about something to make a scene in order to get people mad enough that they will let you do whatever the **** you want?

Given the past few months that is absolutely an extremely effective tactic.

Nice summary !
As expected true freedom and democracy!
and they say destroying their “enemies “ for not thinking the same way ( true freedom ) , they want them dead !

No no we aren’t fascist o0 .

A sign of an improving codebase (once it's mature) is less lines of code as you refactor and build in reusability lol.

I'm hearing there are moves afoot to have a DOGE officer in every location of government that has to be part of the hiring process (DOGE has to give 'hiring approval'). How efficient of them.

To me, the DOGE needs to extend its name to reflect this remit. I'm suggesting

Dept
Of
Government
Efficiency,
Surveillance,
Tracking
And
Personnel
Oversight

That would be suitable namechange. For civilian departments I suggest the job title of apparatchik. For military c̶o̶n̶t̶r̶o̶l̶ oversight, commissar will do fine.

Yes, it refers to the people who believe it, apparently even on here. But if Musks hatred of government is as blind as yours, he could be one of them. And for him it would at least make sense to abolish all taxes, in the completely selfish and short sighted world you and he propagate.

Why are you defending this propaganda? The people you're clearly rooting for seem intent to undermine democracy. Is democracy also inherently leftist and bad?

Maybe you can save everyone some time and admit that your libertarianism is no different from scooby-doo-mask-off fascism, and that you miss il duce?

But as long as they have DEI to blame everything on, this is fine.

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/doge/hu...

“This decision did not consider the staffing needs of the FAA, which is already challenged by understaffing," David Spero, the national president of the Professional Aviation Safety Specialists, AFL-CIO, said in a statement. “Staffing decisions should be based on an individual agency’s mission-critical needs. To do otherwise is dangerous when it comes to public safety. And it is especially unconscionable in the aftermath of three deadly aircraft accidents in the past month.”

Nice way of trying to spin it "omg we just had 3 major plane crashes this isn't the time to lay people off".

The people that got laid off had zero to do with any crashes, nor are they able to prevent any future incidents.

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy responded Monday night in a post to X that "the FAA alone has a staggering 45,000 employees. Less than 400 were let go, and they were all probationary, meaning they had been hired less than a year ago. Zero air traffic controllers and critical safety personnel were let go.

The funny part is the reporting is about how these doge people are only 25, how could they possibly be in high positions of authority. But if you’ve actually hired or worked in related fields, the first thing you notice is these dudes are already 25, why donÂ’t they have more accomplishments! I guess more of the standard cultural right wing affirmative action.

Videos I've seen seem to indicate experienced individuals working in government are having to report at 15 minute intervals to a 20-something about what they're doing.

That's maybe the worst possible conditions for anyone doing work that requires complex thinking or sustained attention to detail.

Oh the irony of the word 'efficiency' in the name

Do you feel the same about the layoffs of those people who were in charge of the nuke safety?

Also, are you a moron?

Whitehouse declaration in court filing says Elon is NOT actually doing anything at DOGE and not officially part of it at all!

Check mate losers - cant force them to stop when he’s not doing anything!!
