Yes...although I can come up with at least 2 contradictory lessons to learn from this. One is that Trump is unpopular like Biden but in the end voters that disapprove of his performance will still support generic R candidates enough to blunt a true wave and keep it close enough just like Dems did in 2022. The other is that Republican demos have changed and they are so dependent on low education lower propensity voters who won't show up in midterms that they will again under preform in off presidential cycle elections just like in 2022.

Wrong I am very critical of Trump and how he has led to the acceptance of candidates like Paxton and Platner and have said Trump needs to be removed from office . Its called constancy being critical of both sides

I defend his immigration position , trans position, and some other policies he brought in but do not defend his Tariff policies , attacking Iran, his rhetoric, using the justice department as a personal tool and pardoning anyone that assaults a police officer and not fully releasing the Epstein files. I will also say he has been a failure at his presidency so far

The man tried to stay in office after losing a fair election. You don't even have to consider whether you agree with his policies on this or that in order to know that he is utterly malignant.

The fact that he could not and would not concede the election would be the first reason I could not vote for him if I was an American
The allure of Trump has been his willingness to mock and destroy a malignant system. He embodies the contempt which citizens have for a corrupt uniparty. He is the avatar of anger.
In a world which is heading for a massive involuntary population reduction, he is willing to choose who lives (those loyal to him) and who doesn't.
The Democrats offer nothing substantive. Just a slow and indecisive decline toward the same destination.
No group that was serious about ruling would ever offer someone like Kamala Harris as their standard bearer. Someone who significantly trailed statewide Democrats when elected AG of California. Someone who failed so miserably in the 2020 primary that she didn't even make it to Iowa. When the system produces such terrible candidates, people vote to destroy the system. That's what Trump pretended to offer.
The system doesn't present us with many decent options. Obama is a neoliberal cancer hanging over the Democratic Party.
