Who Wants To Be A (not real) Millionaire?

Who Wants To Be A (not real) Millionaire?

I found a website that has a ton of WWTBAM questions so why not try it out here, who's interested?

Will be 10 questions instead of 15 as the first 5 (0 to £1,000) are pretty easy anyway, 3 lifelines will be:

50/50 (i'll randomly remove 2 incorrect answers)
Phone A Friend (Another POGger, doesn't have to be involved in this thread i'll just PM them the question and explain)
Ask The Host (Same as Phone A Friend but will be asking myself instead)

£2,000
£4,000
£8,000
£16,000
£32,000 - If you reach here you're guaranteed minimum of £32,000
£64,000
£125,000
£250,000
£500,000
£1,000,000

Who wants to go first? First come first served! Obviously no research allowed

Jesus Christ lol I'm gonna look pretty silly compared to EB here

Let's

ask the host

You can thank Oversimplified for me knowing the answer, defo worth a watch it's pretty funny and also interesting 😀

It's Catherine of Aragon, let's see if the £4,000 question is a bit easier:

Which of these words means 'a summary or outline of a book'?

A) Synergy
B) Synod
C) Synopsis
D) Syntax

Whew, I even misread that as Catherine of Aragorn(son of Arathorn) and thought of it was a red herring lol

I'll go with Synopsis for this one

Yep! £8,000 question:

Which actor played the title role in Batman Begins, released in 2005?

A) Mark Wahlberg
B) Wes Bentley
C) Christian Bale
D) Jake Gyllenhaal

C Christian Bale

excellent movie, The Dark Knight even better!

Batman Begins was pretty meh for me.

The Dark Knight was good, but overrated. #3 on IMDB is absurd.

Probably the single best movie experience I ever had. My grandpa passed away and I had just gotten back from Europe. My friends and GF were ready to do something and this may have been day 1 of this movie in theatres or something - we got absolutely blazed up and I was absolutely immersed in the movie and Batman universe. Joker was an incredible villain and there wasn't a single boring moment.

So on one hand...that may have been my most enjoyable cinematic experience ever of 2+ hours...on the other hand...#3 all time is still ridiculous :p

Yep! onto the £16,000 question:

Born in 1811, the Hungarian composer and pianist Liszt had what first name?

A) Felipe
B) Fritz
C) Ferdinand
D) Franz

Begins is my favorite of the trilogy

would like to get in line for this

D Franz

Liebestraum an absolute BANGER!

I can play like 1 whole measure of it on piano lol

Yep! £32,000 question next up:

The Pompidou Centre is in which European capital?

A) Rome
B) Paris
C) Madrid
D) Athens

hmmmmmm ok may be time to gamble a little here

it doesn't have an x at the end but this is still sounding French to me so I think let's tryyyy

B Paris

Italy, Spain, Greece gotta be wrong

plz be right lol, will feel like a dunce 2 lifelines left

by filthyvermin k

that's a tough first question!

maybe not for Brits, but for americans

Probably the first thing any British child learns about British history is Henry 8th.

Yep well done! Guaranteed £32,000 now (if only it was real)

£64,000 question:

Which car company manufactures the Passat?

A) Nissan
B) Volkswagen
C) Toyota
D) BMW

by Mixedgamelover k

Probably the first thing any British child learns about British history is Henry 8th.

lol yeah i'll never forget divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded, survived.

Oh boy lol when I saw Passat first thing that jumped in my mind was KIA lol

Let's do 50/50

B) Volkswagen
C) Toyota

Volkswagen sounding more familiar...though Toyota Passat doesn't have a bad ring to it either...Volks just keeps seeming like something I've heard

Gotta go B

Yep well done!

£125,000 question with just Phone A Friend lifeline left:

Hematite is the main ore of which metal?

A) Aluminium
B) Lead
C) Mercury
D) Iron

Mmmmmm interesting

I know hematite golem from MTG, he's a colorless 1/4 that pumps +2/+0 for 1R. There's a cobalt golem, a pewter golem, ....there might have been an iron golem. I don't think it would be lead...

What's Mercury's deal though, am I seriously about to guess that on a metal question cause I don't like aluminium hmmmm

I can imagine the picture...he looks kinda reddish...is iron the closest to that? Hmm hmm hmmmmmm

Titanium golem was white, copper myr produced white, iron myr produced red, lead myr maybe produced black?

Will feel really dumb if I leave w a lifeline but wanna save it for something I couldn't even guess and I think I've deduced it from the mtg cards to where I want to fire

D Iron

Iron is...

Spoiler
