Novel is neutral. Sorry guys, after they got 5 in round 1, thought I needed to win in 2 so went for some unlikely longshots.

Would have played different if I knew they were going to give us a 3rd turn.

I personally put theater/screen/watch words above movie titles for the connections and movie title connection after those in my priority order, but seems others prioritize movie title names higher. I just think it’s safer as we know any movie title clue will draw theater/screen/watch guesses while other title guesses are more hit and miss (tho Alien being full title and not just a word in the title makes it stronger)

Not much to be done there; I couldn’t think of any famous disease screening tests that were one word nor tv show about disease (other than like ER med drama that can bring in other stuff) so was on Outbreak or Contagion as clues

I didn’t know you did this, but will remember for the future.

Flowflex or BinaxNOW would’ve worked for me, but maybe covid tests are niche enough these days to not be a confident clue.

I would’ve fought HARD for the film, even if I’d known there was some 80s trash book with the same name that had nothing to do with the movie. No way Nich would’ve expected us to know that existed.

and he pluralized it to avoid Cruise for Tom Cruise, so film, etc. are out

bed
embassy - related to travel
england - people cruise there or out of there
conductor - weak since it's captain on ship and conductor on train
plane - another transportation mode
poison - food poisoning

I don’t quite get dance, but good with princess, pirate, casino.

My top 4 are lock guesses imo

For 5th and then backups, I think my order is:

Bed - safest as you sleep on cruises and the bedroom you pick determines your price; doubt he clues this if it’s a killer word

Backups:

plane - they cruise at high altitude and another transportation; having as backup instead of 5 just in case he thought we’d stick to the sea and this is bad word

Embassy - travel connection; need passport to take most cruises

England - I think a lot of cruises out of there and just cruises to and around UK in general
