January 2026 DC Highlights
Monthly Race
- dogfloss won the January DC race, posting back-to-back monthly wins for the first time in exactly seven years (December 2018-January 2019). dogfloss had the most top-five scores (13), tied for the most top-10 scores (19), and tied for the second-most DC wins (4). It was dog’s 15th monthly DC win, which is the fifth-most all-time.
- velourfog and anton-09 finished in second and third place, respectively, separated by just eight points. velourfog posted three DC wins and 17 top-10 scores, 11 of which were in the top five. anton-09 led the table with five DC wins and added four other top-three scores.
- arjun13 and wafflesobv rounded out the top five, separated by seven points. arjun13 tied for the most top-10 scores (19), which included seven fifth-place scores, while wafflesobv had 17 top-10 scores, tied for fourth-most, and eight top-three scores.
- Among the rest of the top 10, Hg80 (sixth place) had the third-most top-10 scores (18), though just one DC win; nails (eighth place) posted all six of his top-five scores (including two DC wins) in the latter half of the month; and SmalltownBoy (tenth place) had just 12 top-10 scores, but eight of them were in the top five. Dynasty, SubArcticK, and quaspl finished just outside the top 10.

- arjun13 won a tight, low-scoring February DC race. arjun13 had 20 top-10 scores in 28 DCs, leading the field for the month, but the key factor was a fourth-place score on February 27 and a sixth-place score on February 28, which propelled him past Derwi and into first place. However, arjun’s total of 189 DC points for the month was the lowest total to win a monthly DC race in more than four years and the fourth-lowest all-time. It was arjun13’s 41st monthly DC win and his 45th consecutive month finishing in the top 10 – both of which are DC records.
- Derwi and dogfloss finished in second and third place, respectively, separated by just three points. Derwi led the table with four wins and added four other top-three scores, while dogfloss tied for the second-most top-10 scores (18) as she finished in the top three for the third straight month.
- quaspl and Dynasty rounded out the top five, separated by five points. quaspl posted 17 top-10 scores and led the field with 10 top-five scores. Dynasty had three wins and six other top-five scores.
- Among the rest of the top 10, the gap between sixth-place lilrascal, who had three wins (tied for second-most), and ninth-place nails, who also had three wins, was just 10 points. Meanwhile, the gap between nails and Dos in tenth place was 16 points. Hg80, Popcorn, and velourfog finished just outside the top 10.

- wafflesobv won the March DC race thanks to 7 DC wins, the most in a single month since December 2024. wafflesobv had 17 top-10 scores, 14 of which were in the top five, which led the field for the month. It was wafflesobv’s first monthly DC win since January 2024 and fifth overall.
- arjun13 and velourfog finished in second and third place, respectively, separated by just six points. arjun13 posted the second-most top-10 scores (21) and top-five scores (13), while 12 of velourfog’s 18 top-10 scores were in the top five. It was arjun13’s 46th straight month in the top 10, the most all-time, while velourfog finished in the top 10 for the fourth time in the past five months.
- Hg80 and SmalltownBoy rounded out the top five, separated by seven points. Both players tied for second in wins (4); Hg80 posted 19 top-10 scores (third-most) and 12 top-five scores, while SmalltownBoy had 18 top-10 scores, nine of which were in the top three.
- Among the rest of the top 10, dogfloss (sixth place) finished in the top 10 for the eighth consecutive month, SubArcticK (seventh place) led the table with 22 top-10 scores, and Dos (tenth place) spread his 14 top-10 scores across all 10 places during the month. anton-09, nails, and Popcorn finished just outside the top 10.

- The April DC race was a tight battle right down to the wire, and Derwi emerged as the winner. In third place going into the last day of the month and trailing the leader by just five points, Derwi’s sixth-place score – while his competitors did not reach the top 10 – was enough to move past both arjun13 and Dynasty to win the DC race. Derwi had the most top-five scores (13) and tied for the most top-10 scores (20). It was Derwi’s first monthly DC win since October 2023 and ninth overall.
- arjun13 and Dynasty finished in second and third place, respectively, separated by a single point. arjun13 won the April 29 DC, which vaulted him into the lead, only to lose it to Derwi on April 30. arjun13 led the field with six DC wins and added four third-place scores. Meanwhile, Dynasty rose to the top of the standings in the middle of the month with four DC wins in nine days, but faltered at the end of the month and had to settle for third. Dynasty tied for second with five DC wins and 11 top-five scores.
- velourfog and SubArcticK rounded out the top five. velourfog tied with Dynasty for the second-most wins (5) and Derwi for the most top-10 scores (20), while SubArcticK matched Dynasty with 18 top-10 scores and 11 top-five scores.
- Among the rest of the top 10, nails (sixth place) had just 13 top-10 scores, but 11 of them were in the top five; wafflesobv (seventh place) tied Derwi with four DC wins; and dogfloss (tenth place) finished in the top 10 for the ninth consecutive month – just barely. anton-09, Kampi77, and SmalltownBoy finished just outside the top 10.

2026 Yearly Race
Registration is now open for the 2026 World Cup of TripleChain, which will net the winner a baby blue trophy!
The World Cup will have a league-play format based on the Daily Challenge, which was instituted for the first time in 2021. Participating in the World Cup involves nothing more than playing the DC each day.
Here’s how it works:
- Each World Cup participant will play head-to-head against a different World Cup participant in the DC each day, until everyone has played every other participant once. I will put together a randomized schedule prior to the start of league play.
- You get 2 points for a win (i.e., outscoring your opponent in the DC), 1 point for a tie, and 0 points for a loss or DNP (did not play).
- Once the head-to-head play is complete, the top 8 in the league standings will be put into a seeded playoff bracket to decide the winner. Tiebreakers for seeding and/or playoff spots will be (1) head-to-head results, (2) total points across head-to-head games, and (3) total points across all league games.
- Each head-to-head playoff match-up will be a three-game series, still using the DC and the same 2/1/0 scoring. If any matches are tied after three DCs, the next day’s DC (and beyond if needed) will be used to break the tie.
Because this is a DC-based tournament, there is no traditional way to sign up on the TripleChain site. The only way to register is to post in this thread or in the TC chatroll that you want to register for the World Cup. The deadline for signing up is 7:59 pm EDT (11:59 pm GMT) on May 16. I will build the schedule of games on May 17, and tourney play will begin with the May 18 DC.
Depending on the number of entries, league play should last until the end of May, and the playoffs will likely run in early June. I will create a Google spreadsheet to track the results; a link to the sheet will be posted in the Tourney News section, as will semi-regular updates throughout the competition.
May 2026 DC Highlights
Monthly Race
- SubArcticK ran away with the May DC race, posting the highest score since June 2025. SubArcticK pulled away from the pack when he won three DCs in a seven-day period in the middle of the month. SubArc tied for the most wins (4), led the field in top-five scores (15), and had the second-most top-10 scores (22). It was SubArc’s 19th monthly DC win, fourth on the all-time list.
- quaspl and arjun13 finished in second and third place, respectively, separated by just six points. quaspl tied for the most wins (4) and had the second-most top-five scores (12), while arjun13 posted the most top-10 scores (23).
- velourfog and Nimbusfan rounded out the top five, separated by only four points. Both players posted three wins and four second-place scores, but velourfog had one extra top-10 score to edge out Nimbusfan for fourth place.
- Among the rest of the top 10, Hg80 (sixth place) had the third-most top-10 scores (20); Dos (seventh place) tied with SubArcticK and quaspl for the most wins (4); and wafflesobv (tenth place) had only 13 top-10 scores, but eight of them were in the top four. SmalltownBoy, Dynasty, and NP finished just outside the top 10.

- On May 30, Nimbusfan played in his 1,000th DC, becoming the 40th player to do so.
