This seems nicely elegant to me. It's not panpsychism. It is effectively idealism, biocentrism and Advaita Vedanta explained in terms of physics. It rests on an assumption Tegmark and others have disagreed with. A little like Penrose and Hameroff in fact but with bigger claims. Maybe not testable.

There's only one way for death to be eternal non-existence. But there's innumerably many ways for it to be something else. Therefore, [*** insert dubious probability argument ala Nick Bostrom here ***] it's far more likely for death to be something other than eternal non-existence.

You may look around and see suffering and acknowledge the absurdists point of view. However, With not much imagination, you can imagine true hell.
Next you might ask but why? Why hell? Well why not? If there is no rhyme or reason, why not the subjective feeling of pain and suffering for all eternity. Imagine that was the cosmic fluke instead of this.
Could it be next? Not because of religious reasons, but for no reason at all, if this is for no reason at all.
Does that make sense. I suppose my real point is that this is basically perfect.
Sure I get depressed and suffer. But task yourself with attempting to make a better world, as a thought experiment.
Death is life. Not absurd at all.
