Malzahn was meh as a HC, but he absolutely crushed as an OC when he just had to worry about calling plays.

I would add that Malzahn's offense requires a true dual threat QB to be effective. You also need to have a defense that is good enough and deep enough to allow the offense to play up tempo in spurts.

Ordinarily I would say that talent is not a problem for FSU, but it will be interesting to see how the new 105 man roster cap affects depth. I mean it's not a super tight cap like the NFL, but you can't just stash an infinite number of "walk ons" (scholly paid via NIL).

The one exception I think might entice him is Navy if they had a chance to be competitive. I am making a WAG that BB has always been trying to live up to his father's standards and would find meaning in going to Navy.

I still somehow haven't seen Eric Wolford, UK's OL coach fired yet. He is apparently friends with Mark Stoops. UK is officially back to competing with the bottom barrels of the SEC. Competing with the mid tier was nice for while.

UNLV football coach Barry Odom interviewed with Purdue officials and has emerged as the target of its search for a new head coach, sources confirmed to ESPN on Sunday.
A deal is expected to come together in the near future, with Odom long having been a priority candidate for the Boilermakers. Purdue officials traveled to Las Vegas to meet Odom, sources said.
