As a niners fan I have spent this entire offseason in a silent rage

The last 20 years of being a niners fan has been an a

Cousins to the Broncos is a live possibility. Also, iirc Vikings can't franchise him

His contract automatically voids but only after the franchise tag window closes. So technically he's still going to be under contract during the tag period. At least that's what had been reported last summer when he said he won't negotiate a new contract before next Spring IIRC.

Staying in Minnesota seems to be the most likely scenario because he has the most leverage there with the $28mil dead cap if he leaves but I don't think it's a given.

No active player has died of gun violence.

Depends on your definition of "gun violence".

Jameis is such a gift.

I would be very surprised if Siranni is dismissed this offseason.

I think there is a 0% chance.

I think there is a 0% chance.

I don't want to say 0%. But I think I can say its 0% with regards to the locker room.

But I feel I can confidently say that the locker room has not been "negative" at any point this season.

discovering jameis is really smart and articulate was something i was not expecting in 2024

Life without Steichen and Gannon has been tough. Even during their 10-1 stretch, there were parts where they didn’t look that good.

With that said, firing a coach who made the SB last year and followed it up with an 11-6 playoff appearance seems crazy.

This

His quote on the td was remarkably flawless and confirms Arthur smith is a clown. Wasn’t expecting that from king crab

As an aside: my premise that siriani’s job is at stake is entirely predicated by the reports that his players hate him. You can hate a coach and still play for him but if the roster hates him and rolled over on him firing him definitely needs to be the favorite

Yeah, I guess if the players hate him that much, they win. But what the hell did he do to lose them so badly?

Pretty sure he's not the only coach who would get upset about a TD from victory formation.

Seriously. Like this whole β€˜the locker room is miserable’ story seemed to come out of ****ing nowhere

I don't think its really true.

Meh

There’s mature upset and there’s throwing a tantrum to no end or purpose. Smith probably more pissed about it cuz they were live to make the playoffs and face planted and this level of embarrassment to end the season could help get him fired

everyone’s bitter and angry in Philly, no?

I’m watching the game 30 mins late so sorry for old news but that was an incredible INT by Jawsh to Apple

Granted, but iirc this first came out after the Niners game while they were still 10-2. Everything since seems to confirm the idea that they quit

Fortunately for Josh he's elite and would never throw 2 in a game.

second one wasn’t as bad I guess given it was 4D but lol Jawshy

That's sweet you think the 9ers are the center of the universe, but this started showing in the Vikings game and then especially here:

I mean I’m sure cracks started showing sooner than the Niners game but I coulda sworn the story came after that loss with the headline something to the effect of ‘the eagles were the most miserable 10-1 team ever’

I'm just trying to navigate what people think the problem is. I know you don't like Hurts but at this point do you honestly believe that when team gave up? I've already said this, but it's Sirianni.

I’m assuming that what I’m reading has at least some degree of truth and assuming that to be the case I assume it’s Siranni. Doesn’t help that he elevated a historically unlikable human being like Patricia to DC along the way

I’m just curious where it all came from. Did they always hate Siranni? Did it just get worse this year? Did losing both coordinators elevate people that the roster hated?

omg Jawsh

Iggles D line was supposed to be a strength but hasn’t been. Plus they lost at least 5 starters from last season and the replacements clearly aren’t as good. Everyone loves Howie but those two Georgia 1st rounders have really tailed off

Offense has been ok if predictable and they don’t have any injuries afaik?

But the drop off has been remarkable - there’s clearly a confidence or coaching or cultural issue in there? And ultimately it all comes down to the HC
