2025 Formula 1 Season
2025 Formula 1 discussion thread...
Bwahahaha...
It doesn't help that McLaren is scared of upsetting one of their drivers with a bad strategy so they go ultra conservative and basically give them the same strat, when they should've had one of them go long on their first stint.
It's 2 v 1, so they should be splitting, but nah nothing.
Then it seemed Oscar had a bit more pace. At least swap them and let Oscar attack Max a few laps, and if it doesn't work, then swap them back, but nah nothing.

They surely don't want to upset any of their drivers. Piasti did show more pace than Norris but even he was not gonna get past Max.
Let the whining begin!
In the last 3 Japanese GPs, Max has won by at least 10s over the field, so I guess from that perspective, at least we had a tight podium. Just a shame McLaren didn't have a bit more speed nor let Oscar even attempt to attack Max.
Prime Lewis / Max / Schumacher would destroy the field with this McLaren every week.
I'm curious to see if Piastri can beat Norris this season. I have a feeling he wil and that it will make him world champion
Massive win for Max but FIA will not be impressed with the state of the circuit. Looked dry as hell and how were grass fires started with how cold it was notwithstanding how dry the grass was?
Also tbh with Yuki driving for Red bull now the attendance was disappointing. And on Yuki good in practice and then drove the rest of the weekend like he was racing for Racing Bulls. And this at a circuit he knows more than others.
Lawson had a better weekend but I think his time might be up at the end of the year while I'm starting to think they should put Hadjar next to Max (which they still might).
And poor old Lewis - Ferrari seem to have gone backwards this year
ONCE AGAIN... Antonelli impresses greatly.
As great as Max's win was, the driver of the day Was Kimi.
Frankly... EVERYONE is not impressed with the FIA themselves. it's fairly obvious that the 'Formula' is broken and doesn't produce a great product of entertainment any longer... its been this way for YEARS now.
The cars are made with barn doors on the fronts and backs... the chassis are like fat Hogs... No refueling... to many constraints on innovation in favor of 'equality' and NO ONE CARES ABOUT HYBRIDS
It is not like they haven't put money into the surface as apparently it had been re-surfaced - just the outside of the track looked like ****.

Partly true - Hybrids are the future and keeps the manufacturers interested. All but Ferrari to be fair - they want to go back to V8s, V10s.
Manufacturers should NOT dictate rules and regulations... that's the downfall of all sports partnerships.
If they want that, they should go make their own association and series... which they've threatened to do.
Hybrids aren't the future, they are the present... and its less about the hybrids and more about the implementation.
The cars are so FAT now, they can barely fit side by side at speed on some tracks and it doesn't help when they have a barn door on the front of the car and an updraft diffuser on the back.
I've long said that the cars should have limited downforce and I would even goes are far as to say that they should be full bodied in the modern times.
President of Honda Racing Koji Watanabe shed some light on this topic:
“It is an honour to work together again with Newey at Aston Martin,” he told The Japan Times.
“We will work together to create a competitive F1 car.
“The number of seats will be reduced [that Honda will provide engines for].
“However, as for us, we will continue to voice our opinions as Honda in deciding the drivers for 2026 and beyond.
“Obviously, the team had the final say in deciding which drivers join the team…
LOL
Bwahahahaha...
It appears something is up... I am not sure Yuki is valuable enough I Hondas eyes for Astin least he would have started in RB at the beginning of this season.
Lulu LOL
That's how all the Lewis haters call him
Hate is a strong word...
Did the steering wheel come off on accident or on purpose?
There was an issue with the steering stem... the did a complete swap out to the rack in about 12 minutes.
Someone is getting in trouble for that... probably the team fined.
Okay... I got the skivvy on this jacket.
I still dont know where to get one, but it a Cooling jacket developed in Japan.
the bottom is sealed against the body and the jacket has small fans at the bottom and pushes cool air upwards thru the collar area. that's why it looks all puffy.
I NEED ONE.
