Ya, in the pitch count era going forward, it's not likely until we allow bionic arms... which we're at least 20 years or so away from. It will happen just before an electronic strike zone. 😉

All right I'm back on the Jays bandwagon for now.

Even for 2005 that was super unusual.

As a guy in his 40's, I understand how 22 days of rest can be a good thing.

Complete games in 2005 were already quite rare. Without looking it up I'd be surprised if more than 5 pitchers were able to do it 5 times in the season.

Looked it up. Willis 7, Carpenter 7, and Halladay 5. Then a handful of guys with 4 and about 15 guys had 3.

But their number is high because they are way ahead in runs saved due to defensive shifts, not individual defensive greatness.

Who do the Dodgers have on defense that impresses you? I’ll give you Mookie but who else?

And I question the outfield numbers for that, especially after witnessing these types of plays:
