Absolutely no ambition from Atletico to win that in the last 15 minutes. Hard to see them going through with that mentality.

I found that a bit weird as we obviously had a shaky period after the conceded pen.

Decent result, never mind the gassed second half.

That was a great result for Arsenal.

Surprised no-one has commented on the 2nd, overturned Pen. It was not a clear and obvious error so I have absolutely no idea why he changed his mind. Usual BS from Simeone and his squad though, not sure how you can expect the ref to make an unbiased decision when you've got Simeone stood right next to him shouting and gesticulating.

I chucked it off as home turf advantage. The ref should not have caved in though.

He was really close, seen it happen, there was contact, pen given. Unfortunate for the player that made the contact - you can say the same for White. Unfortunate, but a pen.

Overturning it is hilarious as there is no way you could explain why that would ever constitute as a clear and obvious error from the ref. He looked unsure even after watching it and changing the decision.

I thought it should have stood as a pen as well tbh. That one stands and the PSG one at the end of the first half should have not been given imo.

Not that I know or understand the intricacies of any of these rules. They change every season and are different in CL compared to PL etc. I'm not gonna die on the hill of arguing about 99% of pen decisions. Seems to be designed so they can give whatever they want and it can always be justified after in some way.

In no world was that a pen

It is the same situation as the Rice double yellow for flicking the ball away. Hasn't happened since.

Overturning the likes will not happen in the foreseeable future either.

Also not sure how Anderson didnt see red for that legbreak attempt on Villa. I feel Emery's pain. Bad ebening.

Additionally Luiz Diaz looks like the perfect Salah replacement. Pool should look into that

Haha yes indeed

I was listening to a pod the other day and the hosts thought Omar Marmoush was a surefire Pool target in the summer. I don't follow the tacticos to know why he would be better under Slotball than Pep but thought that was interesting

I kind of forgot they have Marmoush as well. He kind of disappeared after the first half of the season.

Also its confirmed they are sticking with Slot? I guess after winning the league it would be a bit harsh not to. Just not sure I would trust the Gakpo whisperer to rebuild

OM has largely been shite this season. Wasteful, offside, blah blah blah

Not good enough imo

not tough to understand how/why 3.villarreal is a thing (lolol barca)

buyern ghana win the final like 5-1

Wait, what does this mean? I only know he somehow always shows up for the Netherlands, I expect he is positively mediocre for Liverpool?

ref clearly had a pre-match meeting with mr bribe

can only imagine that gyokeres is greek for donkey

ref clearly had a pre-match meeting with mr bribe

For which side?

I wonder whats the idea behind being 0-1 down and taking out alvarez and griezmann.. they didnt look injured

Arteta is such a ****ing ****

what a cripple fight that was

Cholo getting a taste of his own dark arts there in the end

I wish these bums had to play 2 legs because anything can happen in 1

But they’ll be a reasonable dog I’d have to think

I will give credit that Gykorese was good today

Hideous game but not a bad two days for the gunners

I did not think this month will start like this. Absolutely buzzing.

Kudos to Gyok he worked his ass off. Should have scored to top it off

Season turned around. Great performance tonight from everyone.

Think it'll be super close no matter which team they face. Arsenal is defensibly very sound while lacking attack and the other 2 teams are the opposite of that lately.

Alvarez for sure was before the game, ankle issue if im not mistaken. Griezmann no idea.
