Mmmmmmmm. Just had my first beer since I was on vacation back in January. It was good 😀 On Fridays I typically pop a beer as soon as the market closes. But I decided I was going to forgo all carbs until the end of lent which is now over. I'd really like to drink a few more but I still wanna avoid carbs. Although light beers aint so bad. I will slowly but surely start reintroducing them into my Friday activities.
But I do have some limes and that means GnTs! Lime juice does have carbs though but I'll risk it!
Mmmmm. Love margaritas! Back in the day when I lived in California and Texas that was my goto drink in the nightspots. But I can't make a margerita for ****? Margeritas in a bar are great. Margeritas at home? I tried to use that crappy margerita mix stuff and they were never all that good. Gin and Tonics on the other hand I can make at home as good or better than any bartender alive! And no bar can touch my White Russians. I find most bar White Russians undrinkable but at home I make them just how I like them.
Don't use sugar sweeteners of any kind. Let the liqueur sweeten them. Fresh lime juice only. Shake them twice as long as you think is humanly possible.

Successfully planned a summer golf trip to Ireland by only texting back and forth.
Wanted to play Old Head golf course in Kinsale but no tee times available in July. One of my naive colleagues asked how many people can afford $500 for a "game" of golf. Oh, dear, so, so many.

lol you think you're talking to someone who doesn't know that? Last night flopped top set in a 2/5 game, got it all in on a wet board on the turn - over $700 - and a tourist called with a gutshot. He hit. Today, got it all in on the turn again, and a guy called with the flush draw. He hit.
Neither had the right odds to call...of course, I'm happy they called...it's just annoying.

Finally starting to get some actual spring weather! Broke out the short pants this week 😀 Gonna have Wisconsin night tonight. What's Wisconsin night you may ask? Nothing much just gonna grill up some brats and wash them down with "In Wisconsin Only!" Spotted Cow beer.
Speaking of Wisconsin was in contact with my old college buddies this week and were gonna do another Brewers series this summer in June. Had a blast up there last year. Great ballpark and atmosphere.
Wisconsin does have good brats. Central Texas was settled by krauts , but our brats don't compare.
