While thats not necessarily good i dont see how a city that has a ton of options vs being the only legal game in town for years is really comparable

only legal game in town for a few years in a starving casino market is a recipe to just make as much as possible with table games and slots before the market matures a little and you have competition.

Still no news on the start of non-poker table games yet from what I can tell? They've only got 22 days left in March to open as planned, but it seems kind of iffy if they haven't even announced a date yet

Seems like "as early as March" was just a tasty nugget to toss into the commission deliberations, rather than something they actually could/would do.

Maybe they figure they're going to be the only local games for a good long time so there's no need to rush. (And really, would we prefer that they half-assed it just to get something going sooner?)

They actually only claimed March after they got the license, all the application documents said June. Regardless, it does seem like March was just a hype builder, and having no intentions of actually doing it this would also explain the lack of hype building promotion so far.

March may have just been a potential date if everything went right, and that never happens. They’re probably assessing where they’re at with the first dealer school finished, how many previously trained dealers they need to hire, etc

curious if a shutdown of their LV room is a positive sign for us

could be that they are cleaning house to bring some of the people over

Ah, I didn't remember that was the timing!

I was wondering the same. Or even just the physical elements of the poker room, the tables, chips, chairs, etc. Maybe they decided they were dead in the water and wanted to redeploy those materials elsewhere

Or they don't give two s**** about poker and we're screwed [emoji2357]

Laziness and an unwillingness to include poker would be the only reason they dont eventually put poker
The table game argument about what makes more is kinda null and void because they have more than enough space for everything. That casino is the size of a mall

With all that said im guessing poker (against others not table game) is not the highest priority for RW

Doubtful, who would leave LV for NY? I think their mindset is to be cautious with poker so its not a negative on the balance sheet.

idk, like the guy who used to be a poker room director at the Wynn, came to Encore Boston, then went back to run RW LV for a bit? or their last (currently on hiatus it seems) poker room director?

seriously doubt it's going to be some new hire who they've never worked with

lol what does this mean

lol what does this mean

A $1 toke in lv goes a lot farther than in NYC?

Yeah obviously but there's a reason why people who live in NYC who have an option choose to still live there.

I'd wager there are a LOT of people who would leave LV for NYC.

I mean, I agree that most Vegas people could not hack it in NYC

I mean, I agree that most Vegas people could not hack it in NYC

lol it's *exactly* this sort of attitude that makes a lot of people not like it there

it isn't a case of "hacking it" like it's some sort of achievement to live there lololol

I think some workers would be excited at the opportunity to move to NYC, especially if they've been in Vegas for a bit and have grown somewhat tired of it.

With the rent and living expenses in nyc i dont think theyre flying out vegas dealers, at least not for the long term

In would be really infuriating if they just punt poker completely for a while, and I dont even ****ing live there any more.

I will for sure degen in the pits a bit next trip lol

They could have dealer houses, 4 roommates and instead of 2 months 2 million, it could be 2 months 2 thousand!

Just saw an ad on IG saying come to our dealer school in the grand lobby march 23-26th from 10am-6pm. And if youre good earn between 21-24 dollars an hour.

Based on that information june/july prolly the earliest any table games come to fruition

what if you're merely mediocre?
