Resorts World NYC (Queens, NY)
Let's start this thread now that we know there is going to be one!
I'm hoping for lot of juicy PLO games, mixed games, an
construction fast? Don't hold your breath.
They have to build an entire complex.
It's not as big a deal it's only open 16 hours. It'll probably go from 12 pm to 4am.
The school they have listed on their website is for table games only. I believe when RWC started, they made people take the table games class before taking the poker class. They wanted to make sure table games were staffed first, then let people move to poker when they had dealers to spare. Poker is not the priority. As for bringing in outside talent, there won't be enough. Let'
March might be pushing it but theyll figure something out by the end of 2026 i think
RW is going to try and make as much as possible off of table games and slots while they're still the only game in town. People should really reign in their poker expectations until we see something concrete. They're going to have years as the only NYC casino.

1) Agree on poker not being a priority and that they might start with table games only first.
2) As far as dealers go, there are a lot of dealers dealing dozens of underground games in the greater NYC area. Sure, they will need to take the classes for a state license, but many of them deal better than an average Atlantic City dealer already.
Underground dealers aren’t taking a paycut.

1) probably make more dealing underground. So until those games sd the dealers are not going to take a pay cut to go to casino job
2) if they ever had a run in whi,e dealing underground, they likely can’t get a state license
3) even dozens of under ground games, with many of these dealers dealing at multiple,e of these, are not going to be enough. And you seem to assume these underground games just go *poof* to make these dealers available. Those games are going nowhere initially.
WSOP main event in queens lolBut who knows for now, the bigger the better but that 16hr time frame slightly annoying
There's no reason why we can't have something like Wynn is doing in Vegas in December, or dare I say the $25k WSOP Main in the Bahamas
I just can't see how they're not 24/7 outside of a year from
I was cheated at resorts catskills. The game was rigged like the one that is getting attention with sports players.

Why should poker expectations be tempered. It's first NY poker casino that overrides all of this
Whether it starts at march or a few months later wont matter.
This guy hand headphones on and like 10 buy ins from me. He called in the blinds w ace rag off. I believe the game was rigged a waswere feeding my hand info to him. He had like 20 buy ins or more on the table. When i had aa and he had a6 and flopped trips that
Im not some clown i played online and i heard people talking about my game. Was doing good for a while then that happened. Mount airy has wild games. Recommend that but on a full table you will get one raise and everyone will call!

Because people are acting like it's gonna be the greatest thing ever and we might be stuck with one 30 table room in a city with 9 million people.
Oh, come on, 9 million people? Subtract the toddlers still mastering Go Fish, the retirees glued to bingo, and the hipsters who think poker is "too mainstream" unless it's ironic with craft beer.
That leaves like 47 degenerates with actual bankrolls, and half of 'em are bluffing about their rent money. One 30-table room? It'll be a ghost town with more dealers than players!
30 table room better than a 0 table room
So nobody gonna play any table games if they get rolled out before poker? Ill prolly dabble in blackjack or ultimate hold em
