if you're planning a buyout i'd like to get in for 1%

Call Fortune and ask for the big bosses cell phone

You know, cuz they are all about solving your particular grievances

Caribbean casino Black Friday 2025.

Majority of players at o8 are over 65. Two tables

Tourny and a 5 10 20 nl. 15 30 mix starts at 5.

Face up paigow in the room next door. Bathroom doors are janky, close very roughly. None of the rake goes to long term bathroom maintenance I reckon

On the positive, largest parking lot for a cardroom

Negative: slippery chips

Edit; the tap water at aces lakewood is worst I've ever had. Has to be bad pipes as our tap in Washington is fantastic

Or a disgusting ice machine?

Old person seat 5 ordered a grilled cheese sandwich with a side of Mac salad. Glass of milk

Super fast drink service, good diet. Bar is conveniently located

Omaha promos
4/8 6/12 kill
$100 hh AAAJJ to qualify. Must have pp for quads.

Steel wheel promotion
Various combos of 2-5. Only the 45 is active.

Apparently the 24 got hit for the max, 2400, which hadn't been hit for over a year apparently.

Button straddle ok
Pretty splashy game so far, up a rizzack

Ice tastes fine.

People smoke right outside the door, so you get a good 2nd hand smoke breeze

Couple of people from Fortune as floors, interesting how they move around the rooms

NL has a 150,100,50 hh

TR HIGHLIGHT: $13 1/2LB PRIME RIB

Holy crap this was actually amazing at $13 and FREE with comp points.

Loaded baked tater was big and delicious
Actually has a ribcap
Their horsey sauce was real good, probably made fresh
Veggies cooked properly, with a nice lightly sweet glaze

Night and day difference from Aces Lakewood. Might actually be worth the Friday commute!

Casino side is packed. Older white guy have over 30k on the back table, insanity. Betting $900 a hand, including the tie which even I know is a sucker bet

EPILOGUE

+150 O8
+ free prime rib

Turns out the 30k bacc guy rebought "four times" so who knows how much he actually was ahead. I was waiting in the cashier line while this guy was getting 30k in cash. He was playing $300 a hand in 3 spots

What is hilarious though, they put the 30k in a cardboard to-go box, in a plastic togo bag.

Also, TONS of underage people in the casino.

EDIT: I also got some classic old man investment advice. 80 yo dude, been stacking gold/silver for 50 years.

He said he "made" 12k friday as SLV hit ATH, +$3.21. Doing math, this means he owns about 3700 ounces of silver, or over 200 grand.

Which is fine, but meaningless. He's 80 years old, no children. He's going to probably die in the next few years (big red sore on arm) but is playing pissant 4/8 O8.

"this is absolutely the first time we got a submission [from kirkland]"bart's analysis is spot-on from a gto perspective, but he is unfamiliar with the local dynamic. there is still something to learn here.

played with a guy in a hat with a big white cross on it

after he table changed everyone said he was the caller

was a pretty decent player - didn't mind him switching tables

by rickroll m

No money at NLH at Aces Poker in mountlake Terrace everyone's solid

Even the guy with the Panama hat?

happy holidays seattle poker thread readers!

i'm definitely heading over to caribbean casino tmmw and/or friday. I want to see if the prime rib is still fricken good

The O8 game seems to run daily, with two games on the weekends

does anybody know the mix games?

It's not an abandoned kmart, it's the Caribbean casino, Kirkland.

Some kind of weird juju happened Friday; no one hit the hh at Omaha so it rolled over today for $800

Hh starts at 10am, 2 tables

The burger at caribbean is fine. The service is mixed, with today being so bad I actively avoided the server.

Also, someone sh*t themselves at the O8 game. Worst smell I've experienced in recent memory.

funny cause this is easily one of the most tilt heavy, annoying and terrible people to play with in the seattle area - he's also not very good at all and has a lot of big leaks in his game

he absolutely berates anyone who beats them in a hand and will go into crazy tilt after losing a small pot

so i found it really funny to see there was an article on him where he talked about how humble and calm he was lol https://www.poker.org/latest-news/big-re...

That article and it's subject sound ridiculous. But I'll cut him some slack, he's 22. Most of us were naive and would have huge egos at that age if we binked a big score.

When I was 18, I lost my job, my car, everything in the same week. Dads buddy opened a card room nearby. I got hired as a security guard that night

Hayden Hetland credits natural aptitude. "Being smart runs in my family"

Hetland’s home base is Aces Poker Room in Washington, where he crushes $1/3 cash games.

"The players are very bad there,” he said bluntly. “On any given night, I can make $1,000 to $3,000, and my hourly is close to $100, which is insane for a $1/3 game.”

- his dads buddy is Eric Persson? Odd

the most on point thing about that article is him openly mocking a very small player pool that he plays with all the time and then closing with

His advice to new players? Stay humble. “Don’t be egotistical. Don’t act like you know it all.

Over / under on him going busto?

He was a security guard at the Hollywood on Aurora, 2nd iteration. So dad wasn't friends with Eric Persson. he had a different friend.

Bragging about being smart? C'mon big red...

His hourly claim seems highly suspect, unless he is lumping in his Atlantic City score.

He gives good action, I will say that.

Everyone else in my little card room is bad and I've been playing like 2 years and I'm a crusher there stay humble guys.

little creeks latest mailer has offer for one free comp room in february!

i booked superb owl sunday. i'll be reporting, of course. check in is at 4pm but i'll need to show up at like 7am to register for the O*8 game

by GambitDaddy m

confirmed - if he had a ball gag in place he'd be very good for the table

This is interesting - I'm guessing I booked my room for superbowl sunday before the seahawks qualified?

cuz the room rates on site went from 170 -> 280. Because I'm cheap (and their poker room sucks unfortunately in terms of active games) I only booked one day, which means I need to wake up at like 6am. Hopefully I can reserve a seat on pokeratlas the day before

Casino is hopping for the superb owl!

Had a couple.expensive pizza slices, open seat in the o8 game just as I arrived around 11am.

Up $20

Guy next to me smoked a black and mild and has the half burned stogie in his fanny pack

321pm table is full, no list. Got a nice $200 hogger on the 8/16 kill

$25 splash pots whenever a point is scored!

Nice room, you don't hear the casino, which is also non-smoking

Checkin time is 4pm, annoying

LITTLE CREEK PORKER TRIP WRAP UP

KEY POINTS

Poker:

- the poker room itself is great! comfy chairs, etc
- dealers are fine! One of my old faves from Fortune Jamesomething made his way to Little creek somehow. We also had a really bad dealer, but it was all in good fun
- $25 splash pots on any point was fun. Was rather slow the first two time units as they modified the score only twice
- the 4/8 HE and O8 4/8 are filled with quiet ancient people, a few of them grumpy.
- I was told the O8 game would be wild; it wasn't, apparently because the agitators didn't show up today
- the table barely held 8 players. broke around 5ish

Casino:

- It's a non smoking casino with a free pepsi station. Standard table games, not too big.
- Closes at like 2am and opens at 9am. Totally closed, can't walk thru
- clean bathrooms

Dining:

- I tried the pizza; it was good, but they did the thing where they overloaded the slices with cheese. They weren't served hot, so no cheese pull. At $6/slice, I'd carefully examine the slices
- Seafood bar: I love this bar. Great service, usually seats available. Details are hazy as I overdid the Tito's, but apparently I sucked down two kumamoto oysters, a bowl of chowder, and the fried seafood combo. Two pieces fish, shrimpies, really good coleslaw, cocktail sauce. I ate the shrimpies cold later in the room. Bill was $55; I might have gotten a beer as well.

Hotel:

- Rack rate for my room was $280, fully comped, no fees. The room had a much better view than the last time. Scalding hot water available in the shower. Fridge and four 'complementary' bottles of water
- Check in time of 4pm is mildly annoying. Didn't checkin times in general used to be earlier?

Event:
- the game was playing everywhere. The event center was pretty big. Had some random party favors available.

Getting there:
- Easy drive south on I5. 70 mins going, 100 mins leaving
- plenty of parking. people ignore the first level of the parking garage, next to the maintenance area. Usually a few spots available

WOULD I GO AGAIN?

Not sure. The poker games are pretty miserable, though the O8 game should be much better with the loose players in. Normally they get two tables.

So, one more time? Maybe!

OK I had some other points written out, but the tldr; from eavesdropping, but is probably public info:

- little creek is pushing for a 1k max bet. considering that they have zero NL games running, this is probably for marketing sake
- they are committed to the porker room

I, for one, love this little resort. There's a top-notch weed store and you can buy likker at the gas station.

The rooms are nice and the water is hot. Not a fan of their showerheads, wish they were adjustable

Food is expensive, but you're kind of isolated even though town is 12 minutes away. However, in comparison to say a random seattle exurb like Bothell, par for the course.

(Bothell is an exurb of seattle/the east side, aka AMZN, MSFT, where home prices have quadrupled since 2016 but not everybody has caught up. $24 for a 10" pizza, for example. Gotta pay them property taxes)

Their oysters are top-notch.

I did the boomer thing and called them to see if I had any march offers; luckily, i have the same deal as last month, so I'll be there next sunday, and probably the one after that as I'll be in the area
