This seared ahi tuna special at Toca Madera was incredible:

Good Pie grandma style always great too

Ondori at The Orleans has perfectly good sushi. My only issue with the offerings is not enough specialty salmon rolls.

Tried the Enchiladas Poblanas at Javier’s last night and they were incredibly good. Fantastic mole sauce that had some nice spice to it, never had a spicy version before. saw in a yelp review that it can be made extra spicy too, will try that next time. 9.5/10 enchiladas. Easily worth the $34.

Those look awesome. Love a good spicy mole. Thanks for sharing

This thread delivers.

Thanks for the contributors' efforts and updates.

Much appreciated

Carne asada tacos at Toca Madera were incredible. Think they’re only like $18 for 2, well worth it. Great steak and the slaw went with it really well. Need to get these again. Short rib enchiladas also really good, preferred the green sauce over the red but can’t go wrong. I’d give a slight edge to the ones at Javier’s.

mind sharing your order and price out the door?

will find myself staying in a free upgrade room at horseshoe a month or so from now
along with a group of six others on the same floor including spouse

a well meaning travel companion made reservations at fieri flavortown the night we arrive because convenience
only proper to offer an alternate venue via text while shutting down the original suggestion

Taco Tuesday!

Usual order to split between two people:

Caesar salad (best ever). - $20
NY strip 16oz - $72
Ceviche - $26 I think
Agua Fresca cocktail or watermelon margarita - $20ish each

The steak tacos were around $16-20 forgot to look at the bill and it doesn’t show the price online. Enchiladas were $38 I think. You could easily go there and get an order of tacos and a salad and be stuffed for like $35-40 but the steaks are so damn good. The street corn is also incredible and costs around $14 or so

If you download the InKind app you can get $50 off a $150 bill too on your first dinner, and you can buy credits that have additional discounts like paying $500 for $700 worth of food. If you’re on their texting list they’ll send you the enhanced offers with bigger discounts once in a while. They also have a $10/month subscription plan which gets you 20% credit back on every meal and a $50 off $150 coupon to use every month. Solid deal IMO.

We go there all the time so it’s the gift that keeps on giving. Takes 30-50% off our actual total cost.

appreciate the detailed response wj
thank you, very helpful

Nice wj94

Mount Everest remains in the elite tier of Indian food. Chicken tikka masala, chicken korma, Jeera Aloo, all ordered “spicy” through Postmates which I think is their 7/10. Perfect level of spicy and this was my first time having Jeera Aloo and that **** was delicious. Also got the obligatory garlic naan.

Zippys nothing special, go to CFA or Popeyes instead.

Haven’t been in many years, but always liked Mt. Everest. Try Curry Leaf on Trop/Ft. Apache, very good Indian as well.

probably too often confused with al jazeera

More incredible Lucky Cat BBQ food truck pics. The beef rib was incredible and only $30, most places charge $45-60 for these now. The plate is the pork belly with rice, asian slaw and Mac salad, $20 for all of that.

since you guys talking about indian , have you tried divine dosa on lbv across from resorts world?
it has been freaking solid Everytime i go (cool to see the mechanical waiter too) and me and my girl always seem to be the only non indians there.

tikki masala and their dosas are so good

Anyone have a top 3 list to get chinese (takeout) in Vegas?

Thanks in advance.

Good to know thx, I work very close to there so will give it a shot. The kebab place there does a passable kebab and rice plate too, and obviously tacos el gordo is the nuts. And god dammit I’ll even go get eggs and pancakes at dennys sometimes when I don’t want to pay $30 to go to bagelmania

If you want Americanized Chinese I don’t have anything for you. Not sure who does takeout but I like the following. (We order takeout from Dim Sum Cafe often enough)

China Mama
Asian BBQ & Noodle
Xiao Long Dumplings
Mian Noodles
Chengdu Taste
(RIP to Big Wong)

But I choose Japanese, Thai ,Korean, and Vietnamese 98% of the time

China Mama. Get the crispy beef.

i always wondered if the big Wong was the same as the big wong on mott street in nyc Chinatown.
the signage looked the same

I like a good general tso's, sweet and spicy and fried what's not to like.

Just tried China Mama a few weeks ago and agree it was good. Now to finally make it to Shang.
