Capitol attack and 6th of January hearings
VP was rushed off the floor by Secret service.
Senate is on lockdown.
Terrorists have breached barricades and appear to be inside the capitol.
Ex-GOP student leader's links to Jan. 6 Capitol riot and a neo-Nazi web site
Trump supporter, with distinctive shoes, who was seen entering
the Capitol by way of the west door of the upper west terrace.
All signs point to Oliver Krvaric, a young Republican star.
he would be “the first full-time employee of the Trump
administration identified entering the Capitol in the insurrection.”
Krvaric’s younger brother, Victor, bragged that Oliver had entered the Capitol on Jan. 6.
On this anniversary, lol MAGA for eternity
agitated ants. over what?
Section three of the fourteenth amendment could not be any clearer.
i didnt watch this, but my prediction is the supreme court conservatives will tie themselves in a pretzel and stop believing their "originalist" bullshit and say that specifically that section is not "self executing" and punt the whole thing.
I don’t think it’s that simple tbh
Alito and Clayton Bigsby will obviously vote to overturn no matter what
I assume the 3 libs vote in favor of colorado
I tend to think roberts votes in favor of colorado
So of trump’s 3 only 1 needs to vote with colorado. And I can see either of Gorsuch or ACB being that vote. I don’t know that it’s likely but neither have really made it a point to be beholden to all things MAGA
First of all, it wasn't an insurrection and second even if it was Trump hasn't been charged let alone convicted of inciting or taking part in an insurrection.
So, the supreme court has no option but to overturn. Probably one of the easiest cases they have ever had to adjudicate.
Insurrection:
an act or instance of revolting against civil authority or an established government

I don't give a damn about any of this 1/6 stuff. Frankly, I found all the panic about how some dorks cosplaying the QAnon "storm" were this grave threat to our republic very funny, but, you know, just as a matter of what words mean, 1/6 was definitely (multiple instances of) insurrection.

Just the fact trump previously said in some instance the constitution should be withdrawn , still saying he didn’t lost the last election , the phone call on Georgia , etc. should speak volume to those judges ….
Will see .
lol. The courts (and everyone sane) disagree with you.
and second even if it was Trump hasn't been charged let alone convicted of inciting or taking part in an insurrection.
So? Three separate courts have found that he did.

On what grounds?
No clue if this is accurate or not, but just read that 25% of muricans believe the fbi instigated jan. 6. wtf?

I don't believe that the FBI instigated 1/6, but the FBI sure loves encouraging and entrapping unhinged people into committing crimes! They mostly do it to lonely 19-year-old Muslim-American dropouts, not right-wing whites, but the MAGA contingent somehow forgot to make much noise for all those occasions.
The FBI justifies their existence partially by, in effect, creating lone-wolf terrorists that they can immediately monitor and influence. There are documented cases where the FBI creates female-facing social media accounts to find a lonely, young, Muslim man, pretend to fall in love with said man, then suddenly ghost him, essentially to enrage and depress the future lone wolf enough to tip him over the edge. Basically, the FBI leads them to jihad.
The FBI most likely did not commit 1/6, but they were undoubtedly aware of what was coming. The main "coup" planners did not exactly go to significant lengths to hide their plans. They were openly posting that **** on Gab or whatever right-wing sewer it was.
The FBI is one of the most evil organizations on this planet. It's not as if instigating 1/6 is beyond them.
Were they not involved in the Gretchen Whitmer attempt to kidnap?
May they have played a role of course they might but ultimately you have to be personally responsible for what you did even if you were coerced
LOL
Attorneys for Donald Trump claim that the former president didn’t have “fair notice” that his attempts to reverse his Georgia loss in the 2020 presidential election could result in criminal charges against him.
How many Presidents while in office had to flee to a bunker due to a terrorist attack? How many had to suffer through weaponized conspiracy theories like Russian collusion all while there is a pandemic, foreign invasion of illegals, and rise of violent alt left extremism going on?
I like the "rise of violent alt left extremism going on". That's a good one. For every left-wing killer in America, there are 50 ****ing Dylann Roofs. The term "alt-left" is funny to see in 2024 too... I haven't seen term that since it failed to take off back in like 2017.
Anyway, biggerboat -- forget this troll. Can you see now that there are many people who are not anywhere close to MAGA and/or the Republican Party who understand that the FBI is an immoral organization that is fully capable of instigating something like 1/6?
(again, for the record, I don't believe that the FBI outright planned the entire thing)
What amuses me is the Democrats bleating on about Trump being a threat to democracy, while they blatantly threaten democracy themselves by trying to remove the leading candidate from the election.
Just staggering hypocrisy.
actions have consequences

The constitution does buddy, not democrats ….
A constitution that trump said was fine to suspend in some circumstances .
The hypocrisy is to support an individual like that while maintaining your side care about the laws and the constitution.
So it’s ok to literally respect the constitution for guns right but not for the legitimacy of the president ?
The irony of calling others hypocrites….

14th amendment:
Section 3. No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may, by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.
I don't know who Dylann Roofs is but its pretty disgusting to just flat out disregard the rise of alt left extremism. We have seen attacks on the Wisconsin and Oklahoma capitals. We have seen over $2 billion in property damage in a single summer. We saw a sitting President have to flee to a bunker when black supremacists attacked Washington DC. We have seen multiple LGBTQ+ supremacists shoot up schools in the last year with one being just a few days ago.

« Often protestors slept in the Wisconsin Capitol and occupied the rotunda for days, she explains. No one died, there wasn't violence, and no one was arrested for bringing a weapon.
At the U.S. Capitol, some members of the violent mob were reportedly found with zip ties and assault weapons, and a gallows was constructed outside of the Capitol. »
« Not all conservatives are drawing a comparison between the Act 10 protests and the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol. As one of the only people to experience both Act 10 and the Capitol insurrection as an elected leader, Rep. Glenn Grothmann said that things at the Madison Capitol never reached the level as what happened at the U.S. Capitol.
Another difference Spicuzza points to are the causes each group was rallying behind. In Madison, the Act 10 protests were meant to convince lawmakers not to vote for a bill. In Washington D.C., the point of the attack was to interrupt proceedings to confirm the free and fair election of President-elect Joe Biden.
“This was almost trying to just completely shut down government in an effort to stop the peaceful transfer of power,” she says. »
U should try to write a script for a movie.
U seem good at it .
Ps: yeah we know there is a lot of stuff u don’t know .
