Nima Jooyandeh is a scammer and a thief

mod note: This post is a cliffnotes of the actions of Nima Jooyandeh on these and other forums.

Nima Jooyandeh, who also goes by "the bay area beast" (and dozens of other names over a 10+ year history posting on the internet on various sites) stole $14,500 from poster Fubster. He has repaid $10,000 of it so far.

Some of the circumstances of the theft include taking sports bets from him acting as both a middleman for another bookie, and acting directly as a bookie himself. Stealing winnings paid out by other bookie, and scamming Fubster by not paying out the winnings from bets he booked himself after previously collecting money from losing bets that he had booked for Fubster. He also attempted to vehemently deny being the actual bet taker, and instead used a fake name of an alleged associate, who it was discovered was a fake persona used to steal (by having this fake bookie "disappear" during California wild fires).

In addition to that, here are other activities this person has participated in that have been admitted to by him on this forum, or have links posted to him being caught on other forums

1. Tried to start a book with poster HIV. Owes poster HIV ~$5K and is paying him back at a rate of $5/week.

2. Ran bets/money for Fubs.

3. Ran his own book and took bets/money as fake identity Sterling.

4. Stiffed Fub for $6k+ as Sterling.

5. Stiffed iceminers on SBR $500. Created fake identity to defend himself etc.

6. Stiffed a guy for $800 or $1000 on Rxforum.

7. Has had many accounts banned on Pickmonitor.

He spent many years pretending to be a sports tout and often started subscription services to sports picks. These subscriptions always flamed out as soon as he hit a losing streak. He would often claim things like "100% guaranteed winning picks", and "complete transparency".

reading an old thread and look who popped in, perhaps fubster should hire this guy to collect

by sup hezbollah k

OP, I have years of collection experience and have seen firsthand what it takes to run a very successful one.

Are you looking to hire people or looking for information?

Babs made over 200 collections calls in a single day. He is a top producer.

McLovin,
I agree, the voluminous amount of candy rewards spoke for themselves

If a beast ever did an AMA where he actually, you know, answered questions that were asked (ikikik never going to happen), I'd love to hear his take on why he never went back to collections work. He was a TOP PRODUCER. He killed the collections game. He had tbosses all over him, in a good way. He had the absolutely perfect personality to be the best in the business.

I sincerely believe that if he had gotten back in the game he'd be a multimillionaire right now, ignoring gambling losses. I mean he'd have earned that much from the collections biz. If he got with the right lawyer, he could be starting up, growing and selling collections firms over and over. He could be rich, maybe not Spielberg rich, but at least I was in the Bay Area during early internet rich. His parents would be so proud.

Thanks, happy to hear you agree.

it's not going to be a very exciting answer. why does someone who used to work at burger king now work at mcdonalds? burger king pays more, has better advancement opportunities, better benefits, better uniforms, what are they thinking?

blah blah it's not a perfect analogy, i am aware of that. but the point stands. it's going to be some bland mundane reason.

I respectfully disagree. It would not be boring!!!
He wouldn't make it a page before he wished death, cancer, or AIDs on someone.

If the goal is simply to trigger him into providing further entertainment then I agree I guess. If you are entertained by torturing another human being and literally attempting to destroy their life. Which it seems many of you are.

it's going to be some bland mundane reason.

We already know the reason. Or at least the menu from which the answer would be chosen:

1. This thread made him unemployable
2. He was too busy crushing blackjack
3. It was time to launch the cappin business
4. It was beheath him

1. This thread made him unemployable

Collections will hire people straight out of prison. They'd probably hire people still in prison, who said they can only work high on drugs. If they can collect, they can collect

2. He was too busy crushing blackjack
3. It was time to launch the cappin business

These could have been and probably were reasons at some point. You and I both know the reality though so these don't make any sense.

4. It was beheath him

He spent a long period of time as an Uber driver...

It's obviously not this.

Actual possibilities:

1. There aren't good collections companies where he lives, whom he hasn't already burned his bridges with
2. He makes more money doing Uber (and whatever else he does). Implying that he brags about his wins doing collections but doesn't talk so much about the endless weeks or months of making nothing.
3. He does do collections, he just doesn't tell us about it

That's all I got. I would bet a lot it's one of those

Those were Nima Reasons, not actual Based in Reality Reasons, sir

lol hiv

88 are you nima's brazil roomie?

can you give us some picks for tomorrow?

Since we’re having an ethbtc88 AMA, is it true what suzzer insinuated about your screen name?

I sure could use a 1 unit max play myself.

i am not. i haven't seen or spoken to him in a long time. hope he's well.

i don't know what suzzer insinuated.

but i chose the name because i joined 2+2 so i could swap crypto with people. 88 is because 8's are lucky/good in china. i lived there for awhile and i'm basically chinese in that way now. i love 8's and hate 4's.

far greater chance your username is a dog whistle for heil hitler than nima made friends with someone who owns a passport

Humans are complex creatures. It's a mistake to think you understand someone based on the fact that they were a dick to you on the internet.

People who are often dicks to people on the internet should understand that well. How that doesn't define them, how they have positive attributes which are not evident to those they were a dick to on the internet. How they aren't always a dick when they use the internet. How their character and personality are much deeper and more nuanced than that time they were a dick on the internet and made a bunch of people so mad that 10 years later they were still posting about how butthurt they were. How people they weren't a dick to on the internet view and treat them much differently.

Nima isn't who you think he is.

Nor am I who you think I am, simply because I disagree with you. An offense nearly as bad as being a dick, evidently.

he's a complete dick to most IRL as well though. if you can't see that he has major issues and should possibly not even be allowed in general population you haven't read the thread or for whatever reason want to protect him at all costs. major anger issues, perpetual misogynist with rape fantasies, sociopath tendencies, etc.

are you his sister or something? something is not right with the boy.

by MastaAces k

lol

you just conflated this thread with real life. which was exactly the error i said you were making.

this is one corner of the internet. it's not even all of the internet. and it sure as **** isn't real life.

i understand you guys have a huge list of things you think represent him in real life. they don't. they're just some distorted bits of information which you view through the lens of him being a dick to you. that's the salient fact here. he was a dick. none of this other stuff would have been documented or remembered were he not a huge dick to you.

i actually think nima would be a very gregarious person in real life and would know better than the openly say he fantasizes about raping random women he sees

by MastaAces k

are you his sister or something?

I am a representative of people who actually know him. There would probably be more of us in here if you guys didn't turn your anger on us.

Things this thread hates:

1) Nima
2) Anybody who defends Nima
