Attempts from inside Gaza to sabotage peace have been factored in, it's still the best "solution" out of a series of very bad options.

Egypt doesn't want the Palestinians for multiple reasons, They do not want to occupy Gaza, or be responsibly for the attacks originating from Gaza which Israel will respond to. I don't know what point you think this proves.

IMO it is such a bad "solution" it is a non starter and no one but Palestinian terrorists and their supporters (see UNRWA) are signing up to go inside Gaza, much less take control of it. It just is what it is.

As Micro has said, there is really no path towards Saudi taking control, whatever that would mean considering they outsource all their labor to Bangladeshi indentured servants.

I'm not suggesting Saudi Arabia takes control. I'm saying that they will not want to resume talks with Israel while Israel is occupying Gaza. Saudi Arabia will use their leverage to demand that a Muslim force is in charge of Gaza, and currently there's only faction willing to do it.

corpus, you may want to tell the university that these kids are lying.

Mets isn’t a parent so it’s important to remember this is all theoretical to him

Awful. Horrible. Sad.

Sorrows, prayers…

they are not targeting Hamas

Most of the Israeli's (that are old enough) are parents, and most of the Palestinians (and millions of other Muslims) who support Hamas are parents too.

So it is not like being a parent gives anyone any particular empathy for the enemy. If anything, it is the opposite.

This just seems like a personal cheap shot, with no argument or insight.

they are not targeting Hamas

You can tell from that video those are "unarmed civilians?" Of course not. At least you learned from Bill Haywood's mistake and posted footage that shows nothing, so you can make up whatever story you want and you cant be "proven" wrong.

1 million smartphones and a war that has been going on 2+ months and Victor cant ever find any footage that actually shows Israel doing anything he accuses them of. It is actually pretty wild. He posts 20 videos/day and none of them show anything.

Definitely. Anyone who becomes a parent values the lives of their children over those of anyone else.

I asked this before but Victor ignored it. I don't know if he's a parent or not anyway, so those of you who are should think about this theoretical situation:

Someone is pointing a gun at your child, while using his own child as a human shield. The only way you can stop him from killing your child is by shooting him with nearby bazooka, which of course will kill him, along his child. Do you let your child be shot? What if the man is using 10 of his children as human shields? I think most parents of any culture would decide to protect their own child. If you take the only possible step to protect your own child, does this mean you support the killing of innocent babies?

While you may disagree with them, which is reasonable, I believe this is the situation most Israelis feel they are in right now. They fear for the lives of their children, so are (some reluctantly, some not) willing to allow other children be killed in order to protect their own children. Maybe they're even willing to let ten children be killed to save each one of their own. Most American parents, Palestinian parents, and parents in general would likely feel the same. Utilitarianism never seems to trump tribalism.

Lol, I haven't bothered to click on any of his other videos but I had to check out this one. It looks like a video game where you're bombing ghosts. There would be no way to even know the things targeted were human, much less "unarmed civilians". If this is indeed real war footage, then of course I would guess they were two humans, but you certainly couldn't even guess at any more than that.

You can tell they are armed?

You can tell they are unarmed?

by campfirewest

You can tell they are unarmed?

seems overwhelmingly likely.

not that it matters, Im pretty sure its a war crime (lol) to just blast anything that moves in an area full of civilians when no threat is apparent.

but lol obv they werent armed. use ur brane.

by campfirewest

You can tell they are unarmed?

You can tell they have arms?

Netanyahu's comments don't help

But even if the PA comes into power, either israel or a trusted arab nation has to oversee

If Egypt and Jordan don't want to be that nation, then who,?

That's why i have said Saudi.

Otherwise, it's Israel

by chillrob

You can tell they have arms?

not anymore they dont

by Victor

not anymore they dont

They were already ghosts.

I don't think saudi gives a **** about the pakeste, but i agree it is tough for them diplomaticly to sign a normalization deal with Israel while they are occupying it

PA cannot be in control without some other country overseeing for some time

You're completely misreading Saudi's position. If anything, they are taking American line: path to two state then anything goes.

The leadership there wants to normalize and is trying to find a path to normalization while still appeasing the diehards in the country.

Mostly because they will lose control almost immediately
