You can currently match your Caesars Diamond to Wyndham Diamond RIGHT NOW at this link
So for the last 2 days I've been trying to initiate the match back to Wyndham Diamond (I did the same last January). Tried different browsers, phone/laptop, always the same problems.
A) I click on the link above and the website opens. There is a blue button in the middle of the webpage that reads 'Sign In' but clicking it does nothing.
On the top right of website another Sign In button for your Wyndham account works and after my log in there it brings up the website to fill in your Caesars number, email, birthdate,...
B) So I fill that out (with same info I used successfully last year since nothing changed) then hit 'Submit' but always get the following error message in red ink:
"We're sorry, something went wrong. Please try again later."
Could anyone be so nice to check if it's a "me problem" or site-wide by clicking the link and
A) - seeing if hitting the blue 'Sign In' box does anything like bring up actual new screen?
B) - if you enter your info after signing in and submit your (dummy) match attempt is there any error message?
Thanks very much in advance...
Maybe this is the method to stop the tier match merry go round for the year 2024?
During the month of January they disallow any tier matches and resume the tier match process only after February 1, so that after February 1, 2024 only those with earned status can do the match.
pretty sure i just got my bonus tier from last years promo 500 to 100 thing

I matched mine using the method above a couple weeks ago with no problem.
I found out that Diamond members who have stays which straddle the February 1, 2024 or which end on checkout of February 1, 2024 will get charged resort fee, parking fee, and internet fee. So all the merry go rounders need to be checked out of CET on or before January 31, 2024 to avoid the resort fee and wait until fully matched online because for existing members the rewards desk cannot match Wyndham Diamon status to CET Diamond in person.

they can't charge you for these things for days you're actually diamond. Additionally any email reservation you have won't mention resort fees assuming you were diamond when you booked it. Now their hot garbage computer system by default may charge you fees for all of your days when you checkout but if you talk to the front desk they'll take them off, and may even take them off for your entire stay.

I'm staying at a strip property tonight and will see how it goes. What I am curious about is how ill have diamond when I swipe in the garage but not when I go to leave.
I made diamond plus last year with caesars for the first time and was really underwhelmed by the overall rewards. Does anyone have a suggestion as to whether I should stay with caesars or switch all my play to MGM or a different casino?
For background:
I usually play $100+/hand blackjack, $25-50/min craps with lots of bets across the table, and $5-$50/hand VP. lost roughly $20k over the year at CET properties over 100ish? hours gambling, and $10k or so more at all other casinos combined. Plus I spent a LOT on dining, entertainment, etc. this is discretionary income that I plan to lose every year regardless of comps - I know chasing comps is a sucker’s game, but I’d like to feel a better return if I’m dumping 5 figures every year.
For example, my host (politely) told me to take a lap when I asked about 2023 F1 tickets, while the mirage hooked it up despite way less play.
Wynn & venetian have never sent me anything so I assume I don’t play high enough to get on their radar yet.
"For current active FoundersCard Members in good standing, accounts should be updated and extended to 2025 by February 2, 2024."

My Caesars profile page now shows Diamond through 2025

There are some participants in this thread who can’t bear a person not having the same rosy view of Caesar’s Reward as they do. If they choose to needlessly contradict you, I would suggest you just ignore them, else you may find yourself stuck in an endless spiral of nonsense and stupidity.
Anyhow, I know exactly how you feel vis-a-vis Caesars. Losing money doesn’t feel good, no matter what the amount means to a person. One of the main reasons loyalty programs exist is to make losing just a little less painful. In addition to all the ways Caesar’s Rewards perks have been degraded in recent years, and documented in this thread, another point of frustration has to do with the tier structure itself. Caesar’s is now telling us the difference between a customer who risks and often loses 5 figures and a person who contributes a few hundred dollars in credit card fees may be as little as 10k tier points (diamond to diamond+). Considering the significant deflation in the value of tier points with all these multiplier promotions, the difference between Diamond and Diamond+ is even less significant. I imagine it’s not something which makes people gambling at the level you describe feel very good.
I will add, outside of interactions with a host, I don’t think the Cesars Reward program really cares how much a person loses. I’ve had good years and bad years and didn’t notice any difference. All that mattered was the rating and volume. I doubt this is very different with other programs. It’s an unfortunate side effect of taking agency away from floor personnel when it comes to dispensing perks and making it all formulaic.

I have status all over the city (Seven Stars with Ceasars), so I'll tell you what I think.
I play craps usually $600-$800 to start the roll and usually partially press bets...sometimes I have several thousand when the crap out hits.
BJ $200-$2000 a hand I don't play too often although I might start playing more instead of so much craps.
Pai Gow $300-$1500 a hand. I play quite a bit.
Video poker Ultimate X $25-50 a spin.
Venetian/Palazzo, nice hotel but their comps aren't that good. When they give free play they take the chip win or lose, so it's value is about 1/2 what they give you. Their food comps can be used at their restaurants but not at the ones in the food court. Overall, I'm trying to phase them out.
MGM, I have been trying to phase them out. I really like some of their hotels like Aria, but I don't feel I get great comp value with them. Their comp chips play until you lose so good value there.
Wynn....I dropped 10K-$15k there in one quick sitting a while back and all I get offered is $400 resort credit and hotel...although they want their resort fee, so I haven't bothered with them...last time I stayed there was about 13 years ago.
Station Casinos. I recently stayed at Red Rock and gambled. Their promo chips are like Venetian's win or lose they take the chip. Their Craps is good 10X odds on the pass line all across. If you like crapless craps it is 5X odds. They gave me a generous resort credit of $600 last stay. Their food is inexpensive (Relative to other casinos) and they have nice facilities. I'm starting to migrate more play their way and see if I they are as decent as Caesars.
Insofar as Ceasars is concerned, so far they seem to offer the best comps to me. When I take a loss, the host who normally adds either free play or lots of extra food onto my account...but I do have to ask. I had a terrible year last year, my worst ever and earned around 1.3 million tier credits but it cost me dearly.
If you can hit seven star it does give some pretty good perks, many of which I don't really use.

Wow, that seems exceptional given the amount of play. Mirage is Hard Rock, right? Maybe they are trying hard to cultivate medium-high players to build a base.
Still no Diamond from the Wyndham credit card match yet.
I called Wyndham and they said there is a room in Wyndham which does the matches over two weeks and nobody can call them either customers or employees but that after two weeks, that customer service can send the matching room an email.
Meanwhile the Founders Card people all have been matched very rapidly.

I match through my Wyndham’s business card and it wasn’t letting me match to Caesars. It kept saying something went wrong and to try again later.
I live chatted with someone and they said the system is down and they won’t expect it up again until early March.

wyndam matches tend to take a week or two.
