ESPN's "Saturday Blockbusters" isn't false advertising

16:00 - HOU @ KU

18:30 - the U.S.'s best sports rivalry

20:30 - Rocky Top @ UK

i'm not going to miss a minute of these three AP top-10 matchups

my wisky bud said he expects them to get smoked

said they're overrated

I think Wisconsin is more likely to lose on the road Wednesday night vs Nebraska than they are at home vs Purdue but I've been wrong many times before. Nebraska at home is like a top 15 team but they are terrible on the road.

Wisconsin is definitely legit though. Their offense reminds me of the Iowa offenses of the past couple years. Everyone can dribble. Almost everyone can shoot, and they have a star wing who can go get them buckets and is a mismatch vs most college 3s. They've ran into trouble when they face teams who has guys they can throw at AJ Storr(Tennessee, Arizona, Providence), Purdue really has no such wing defender other than Ethan Morton off the bench, who can't do anything offensively. But Wisconsin mostly just overwhelms teams offensively since they have so many weapons. Not sure why anyone would watch them and think they aren't good.

That being said, some teams flat out just can't handle Edey and succumbing to him is always a possibility when playing Purdue.

solid analysis. thx NRB. i'm ready for the game now

i also see they're an ELITE DR% team

I'm a bit worried about Purdue on the road in an environment where the effect on the refs scores like 4.4 out of 5 on the Cameron Indoor Index especially when a huge part of their effectiveness is Edey drawing fouls at an insane rate.

No one is safe

Piss poor game all around. But we were due.

Much more shocked by Tennessee going down at home to South Carolina than UNC losing at GTech

lol

i was 2 hrs delayed w tonight's Ga Tech game, fire up the DVR and am 8 mins into the game and receive a "Sorry brother :(" text from a UK fan in the neighborhood. we occasionally text each other about games. i basically text back "wtf bro"

my plan was to watch the 1st half tonight and rest of the game when i woke up. but now i'm luck fk i can't do that bc i'm thinking maybe a player got hurt (and obv won't be able to sleep not knowing if "Sorry brother :(" meant simply a road conference loss or an injury)

Everyone is still healthy.

our 2P% (50.3, good for 175th in the nation) is a flashing red light w a super loud siren going off at the same time for me

Tonight brought the average down.

Tonight brought the average down.

it was already down. the red light and siren have been flashing and sounding for me for some time

Yeah, that post was tongue-in-cheek haha.

I’m not sure what to do about it. We don’t take many inefficient mid-range shots. Most of them are going at the rim or around the basket.

We are just having trouble getting the ball in the basket.

Mando missed quite a few he shouldn’t. It’s like he has no lift.

EC is our best finisher, and I like when he’s aggressive on offense, but he hasn’t figured out how to switch the gear between scorer and facilitator.

Harrison has also been struggling at the rim. And Cormac plays outside of himself at times.

I don’t have anything bad to say about RJ.

Jalen and Seth played good games tonight.

Cherry topper tonight was also being bad at the line.

Regroup and refocus. Big one on Saturday.

If you ended the season right now I think you would have to give coach of the year to Lamont Paris. South Carolina was picked dead last in the SEC preseason. Now they are 18-3 (6-2 SEC) with a road win at Tennessee and smacked UK at home.

Up 3 with just a few seconds left and the other team has the ball. Do you?

A. Foul
B. Just sell out to make sure they don't get an open 3
C. Leave their best 3 point shooter wide open

Just asking for a extremely highly paid friend of mine...

Just as a hint, my extremely highly paid friend of mine did not foul in the 2008 title game

Sounds like he’s overpaid.

surely this unnamed person doesn't have a lifetime contract, right?

right?

surely his or her record over the last 113 games isn't 72-41, right?

right?

I’m no Chris Collins fan, but this is awesome and hilarious.

i would've been pissed to

the biggest FT discrepancy in a B1G conf game over the past 25 seasons

TBH if the biggest FT discrepancy in a B1G game in 25 years didn't come from 2023-2024 Purdue I'd probably be pretty shocked.

Edey is drawing 9.3 fouls per 40 minutes this year.
