I’m on C11 (the right one) all day.

Ok well philadelphia is first instinct

Same, but pretty sure it has to be sandwich.

C4=club
S3/s6=sub/subway

I'm not sure on the others, but there are tons of sandwiches out there, so I'm not too worried about it.

Only weird part is nich thinking I may not know of Subway? Still though, gotta be sandwich imo.

Maybe he doesnt knw if you have subway

Lets see if c15 works?

Two word c....

Everybody has Subway...it's the biggest ff chain in the world! I think. No way nich would ever think I wouldn't know it anyway. Maybe he was thinking of something else?

Anyway, it basically has to be sandwich. If it was Philly, they would be talking about IASIP for S, and they were so confident that this was a great clue, it must be one or the other.

I'm all in on sandwich.

The other s is sarnie

sandwich

Heyooooooooo

Nice work, boys

yeah s6 was sarnie, which is an England thing; not sure if Australia calls them that; we def don't in the US

well done, you two

what was c15?

croque monsieur was hyphenated one place I saw, but it's two words everywhere else, so couldn't be used

Round 8:

Cards used: 8

Guessers: d1/ervin

The Board:

S | RG | IH | P | JOVW | T | A

The target word:
I've pmed it to ibd/bolt/filthy/zeus

lol; that's unfortunate (I'll say why after the round)

s5 + r4 is a decent combo; not seeing a one-shot yet

Sarnie? Surely you meant subway. Especially on the heels of cheesesteak.

r8 is our best chance at an ace

r8 is 2nd word tho, so not an ace

while I like the s5+r4 combo, r8 gets it also

either way, it's in 2; we may just have to use 2 this time; can't get everything in one, especially with only 2 letters on the outside

s6 never gets it, but s6 + r8 are a lock.

there are ones like s9 but they are more esoteric so crapshoot if they've heard of them

Unless someone has a shot at an ace with their first clue, I feel good about setting up a win in 2 guesses with my S6.

You're right, I've never heard that term before.

so we decided to avoid discussing the middle card letters, right?

we're just discussing S, R, G, and A... right?

i've got a meh opposite S6

i mean it's unlikely to get it in one

i can never figure out other people's words lol

s6 r8 r4 s5

i can't figure out any of those! lol fml :(
