NBA 2025-26 Season Thread: THE NY KNICKS ARE CHAMPIONS! BING BONG!
Lettuce NBA!
and lettuce lol @ James Harden
Hey now, they have a truly exceptional record of failure to their credit. We have been able to count on the Knicks sucking for decades now.
Maybe things are different this year. Or maybe they’ll be the same old Knicks and immediately lose to Cleveland or something.
January was the first time since 1994 that the Knicks had the league best record for a month (14-2). 30 years....
This isn't load management tho, this is an injury.Haliburton's choices now are to either try and play when you're not 100% and risk further injury or give up $50M.The Pacers' choices are actually the opposite. Sit your star player in the "hope" he misses a few more games and you save $7M AAV, or play him and keep him happy.Obviously the team needs to protect players from themse
Then blame the Players Association who agreed to the terms.
Live and abide by the terms or there's just basketball mutiny.

That would look something like this I'd imagine:
The dude abides. Brunson abides.
In unrelated news, a player who rushed back to play before being totally healthy (who can say why...) has a torn meniscus:
oh ****, maybe letting labald and frands run the union was a mistake...
Randle and Brunson both all-stars. Maybe McLovin can calm the **** down for a bit now
Knicks have left Nesmith wide open like 5 times
Does anyone read a scouting report?!?
HUGE COMEBACK. HUGE WIN
JALEN BRUNSON IS A FLAT OUT WINNER!
Let's gooooo!
Please god let this minute's restriction **** be over soon. Pacers offense with Nembhard is pretty painful for long stretches
Well I've long been fascinated by the performance of a team with a superstar out. Tonight with both James and Davis out the Lakers rout the Celtics at Boston. It qualifies as weird, also as the simple huge variance in sport. Home team shoots 7 free throws (weird), out shot by 20% from 3 (but only 9 points differential). I was expecting a 20 point lambasting differential from 3. Nope. Variance plus something weird about superstars being out.
LeBron's getting traded.
You heard it here first!!!
Hmmm, NBA.com redirects me to this page https://www.sportingnews.com/ca/nba perhaps it's a Canadian thing. You can see in the game listings at the top that the clippers are listed as 9-10, while the Pistons are listed at 2-18. Most teams have their actual record showing and some teams have some sort of abbreviated record like this showing. Memphis is showing as having a 5-14 record. It's been doing that for about a week and I was wondering if there was some sort of other in season gimmick going on. Maybe it's just a weird setting in their site that's off.
