I know we're having a **** season but at least we're not Venkys
Some ending to the Nigeria-SA game, Nigeria thought they had wrapped it up 2-0 in the last minute only for VAR to overturn the goal and award SA a pen which they score then SA guy misses a sitter to win it in the last seconds
action flackson wackson jackson
Emery doing his best to keep Poch in
Blue cards and sin bins to be introduced to the PL. Blue card means 10min removal from the pitch. 2 blue cards = a red card.
Discuss.
Apologies initially lower tier comps on a voluntary basis and FA cup

Seems like a bad idea, why over complicate things? Just give yellows out for dissent/cynical fouls. Teams will just time waste for the 10 mins a player is off if this is introduced and it will make games worse. A layer of complexity that is not needed.
Is this being trialled because they cant seem to give yellows for dissent/asking for a player to be booked out fairly and equally to all teams?

Well if they time it so that the ten minutes stops in the same way they add on time at the moment it ceases to be a problem
No real issue with this if it eliminates inconsistency (i.e. McBurnie gets a second yellow for trying to talk to the ref then 24 hours later Haaland can scream in his face and gets nothing)
The problem with yellow cards is that the current opponents being "cheated" only marginally benefit but some team in the future may benefit greatly when the player reaches the suspension threshold.
Happy to give the blue cards a bash for a season too see if it works. Definitely feel that the tactical foul has got out of hand.
Are sin binned players allowed to keep warm during the 10 min period? Worried we may see even more muscle related injuries if they are just left in a booth to cooldown.
Speaking to the BBC, Curtis Jones said: "The gaffer, the way he fist pumps the crowd, that’s kind of our thing. If they want to be stealing our stuff, it shows we’re on the right path if they’re copying us. They can have their moment and stuff, but there’s a long way to go."
Klopp invented fist pumping apparently
Will and blue card and yellow card result in a new green card?
Is so, could see an influx of players to MLS.
Conceptually speaking it's needed to have something in between yellow & red but let's wait to see how they manage to bottle the execution of it
And "just give yellows" ==> yellows barely mean anything and it's conceptually strange to hand out punishments whose value goes down over the course of a game (e.g. goalkeeper getting booked for timewasting in the 97th minute)
Goalies getting blue card could be interesting
i dont like it. the problem isnt big enough for such a radical solution. there are likely to be unintended/unforeseeable consequences
one of the foreseeable consequences is that teams on a blue card will take 20 seconds over a goal kick and take the ball to the corner flag in the 17th minute of the game, which is terrible
edit: after scrolling up i see that SootedPowa touched on this already
