Neko Ramen next door he also one of the best ramen spots in town and also had a limited sushi menu
Is it better than Ramen Boys? I had that recently and it's my new favorite. Will try out Neko Ramen some time this month.
Had Silver Lake Ramen recently and it was phenomenal, will be going back.
Had colleagues in town for work the last few days. Did Esther’s last night and Pho Kim Long today for lunch. Esther’s was off the chart 10/10 food, and Pho Kim Long was a solid 7.
Lamaii tonight, was exquisite, hadn’t been in a while. Crispy prawn panang, mun pu fried rice were the standouts.
Agree 100% -- but we are fortunate to have it in town and at least I don't take advantage frequently enough.

i owe the thread a review of Lamaii, from my one and only time going
went to Chada once before where i met Gobbo in person
different story
group of 7, reserved ahead.
9:30 on a saturday night
they initially sat us in a booth with a chair at the end,
but quickly found room at a long table in the middle without asking
if i remember right we started with three oysters each plus three orders of pork jowl
the mains some combination of crispy duck remains in panang curry, chicken pad thai, crab curry over noodle, larb, and crab fat fried rice
with drinks and tip under 88 bucks each
felt i ate like a local not a yokel on the strip
delicious
Carolina’s Mexican Kitchen off Craig and Tenaya was incredible, 10/10 food and the owners are super nice. The soup was 12/10, must get.
We had:
Birria Egg Rolls
Shrimp a la Diabla
Carne en su jugo (the soup)
Banana pudding
Horchata latte
Chips/salsa
Everything tastes homemade (because it is). They also said they only use prime meat, no choice. Considering how tender the beef in the soup was I believe it. Might go back for lunch tomorrow.
Went back to Carolina’s for lunch, so good
Feels like it’s just about every Las Vegas food writer’s top five recommendation. Again it’s good, but it is really overhyped. Especially when there are so many very good to great Italian restaurants in vegas.
Need more top 5 recs
GF loves the crab cake sandwich at Sundry at uncommons.
ate their pizza there, wasn't impressed.
ice cream at smitten is top notch

Ok I’m interested who else is also making their own homemade well executed pasta plates for under $20. Makes their own sourdough and some nice fresh, non standard salads. Would like to avoid the strip and Summerlin.
Enchiladas poblanas at Javier’s, extra spicy this time. The extra spice came in pretty clutch. Def better if you can handle some heat. Solid flan too
going to watch a "taste of things " in a couple hours , anyone has a good French casual restaurant to recommend?

I would love to get a list going. I assume these are among the top contenders?
Esthers
La Strega
Anima by Edo
Noras
North Italia
Piero's
Ferraro's
Mastrioni's
Italian American Club (I dont think I've been)
Al Solito Posto
(Capo's doesn't make my list)
Pieros and Ferraro's are expensive. To me it's Esthers, La Strega, and Anima. And I like the spicy rigatoni from t-bones 😃

yeah 5 of us ate pretty well there for under $500 out the door including cocktails, a bottle of wine, and a good tip.

You are definitely the king of the LVL dining threads. I need to at some point make it to Piero’s for the clams, osso buco and see where Bob Stupak got assaulted by the Binion’s family.
