Trooper97 vlogs, discussions etc. will be allowed to continue in the new thread. That thread will not be unchained and I will work with the other LVL mods to keep it civil.
I personally am not going to allow a lot of the horrible posting that went on in the original thread to take place and I will be very generous with post deletions and bans if needed.

Update April 2018

OK Vlogger Thread, we are going with some new parameters to try to make this the POSITIVE vlogger thread that it is supposed to be, not the AIDS vlogger thread where a few loonies ruin it for the rest. Note that 'positive' does not equal 'only positive', it means anything negative being said CAN'T be namecalling or wild, unsubstantiated speculation regarding any and all vloggers. Personal lives and anything aside from poker is OFF THE TABLE.

A new update March 2019:
NO ****ING POLITICS!
Its just a strawman argument, nobody is saying people cant do anything.
We also arent hating them, we are making fun of them for being losers and dorks. I dont hate either one of them, i think they are both dummies, i think they both suck at poker, i think trooper is a scammer, but i dont hate him any more than anyone else, you think trooper is the first person to cheat in live SNGs or sell garage coffee to his internet fans or try to skim a little off the top with some mark up? No of course no
I'm gonna copy and paste this every time a new white knight wanders in here and immediately jumps to their defense before reading a few pages to "get the joke" first.
What definition is that? A quick google search reveals that 5'9 is the average height of a US male. Objectively speaking I still say that 5'9 is short for a male, albeit perhaps not relatively. The average 1/2 player is still a losing player objectively, even if relatively they are consider average
You mean, subjectively speaking, as that's your OPINION. The average height in the United States has decreased slowly over the past 20 years as the Latinx population has increased.
And yes, the average 1-2 player is a losing player, objectively speaking. That is a fact, not an opinion.
Diesels tongue is too big for his mouth. Has this been mentioned before?
You cant un-see it now
The depressing part is that T and Rice are swirling to the bottom without the benefits of drugs and alcohol.
No convenient excuses for their behavior.
if they drank they would both be morbidly obese, good thing they don't have that vice
I see Diesel's life as incredibly tragic, he had a pathway where he could have been extremely successful in life.
There's no doubt in my mind that Diesel would have been the type to reach FIRE, pay off his mortgage early and be able to retire early and have a good life if he just reached the median level of someone with his education level.
If he didn't get in his own way he would have a really good life right now.
The thing is, it's not even too late for him to turn things around if he just was able to see how he gets in his own way and had a vision that's more than making $13/hour grinding 1/3.
Even if he became a lifer in document review which is considered the dead end position in law he would still be million times better than he is now. I suspect he would never go for it because his ego wouldn't allow him to as it would be him having to admit he's not the best at something.
Unfound ego and pride ruins lives.
Diesel is happy where his life is at and don't you dare tell him he should think about improving it. He must have been a joy to raise for his parents.
"Increasing my hourly is something I should strive for? That’s an incredible level of spoiled and entitled to think you can tell me what I should want." - Diesel

He's gonna go through what I've seen several pros go through before (albeit they all had a much higher peak hourly than him and were playing higher than him.)
Games get tougher, expenses go up,rake goes up,their win rate goes down. They convince themselves they're running bad nobody runs worse blah blah blah. Eventually they run good for a month or two and cherry pick that as what their hourly should be if they just ran at ev. They cling to this for a few years. Everyone in their games knows they either can't win or can't win anymore to where it's worth them playing. Other guys gradually move down in stakes rinse and repeat. He can't go any lower so that's out.
Even if he says he's happy with 13 an hour it's pretty obvious he fell well short of that last year and it's pretty obvious he's not going to make that playing poker long term going forward.
You can delude yourself for a while but eventually reality hits you in the face. Even trooper finally tapped out when he should have years ago.
Depending on family money Diesel may be able to keep this charade up for a while but he's gonna tap out. He really can't cut expense any lower,he can't play any lower. He can say nobody ran worse in 2023 yada yada yada but when it's 2026 and he's made 4 dollars an hour for the last 3 years even he can't live off of that.
It's pretty obvious he's starting to break mentally and that's only going to get worse.
i think thats pretty spot on
Didnt see el diesel in the trooper footage and watched someone closely while walking around
I forgot in my spiel about how wacky he is, he made a video that said he was the number 2 vlogger behind trooper, because he had made the second most videos, in an hour laying in bed I was about to find he was 9th by his own metrics for deciding he was 2nd, and found that trooper wasn’t first. That’s really wild, next level weird sycophantic stuff to trooper, he made up a stat he thought would make him close to trooper, that nobody would use, trooper isn’t top 10 in subs, I don’t even think he’s top 20, he’s not top 10 in views, so he had to find something else, so he found who has made videos, then only looked at like 3 people, didn’t look at people who are way more famous in poker than them, and declared himself number 2, pretty crazy the more I think about it. He just created out of thin air he was second and trooper was first. He does so many wacky things like this it’s hard to remember them, it’s a gish gallop of wacky behavior

So some Jack, Woodford or Havana Club would help Timmy and/or Rice cope with their situations?
It might increase their hourly.
Eighty percent of adults, 18 and older, living in households with annual incomes of $100,000 or more consumed alcohol in 2021/2022.
Only 49% of those living in a household with an annual income of less than $40,000 consumed the beverages.

Are the boys Latinx?

Good post, this deserves some more love.
I will guess the next step for Rice to cope is to sleep more in his car like Bikeking did.

Rice drives a complete beater car that has to be a decade old, puts tons of miles driving it constantly cross-country, and I doubt is getting regular maintenance or oil changes.
What is he going to do when it inevitably breaks down? Can he afford to take $10k out of his dividend portfolio to buy a used car?

Ive asked myself this multiple times, it would be some very interesting videos to watch is his car did break down and he would be forced to buy a "new" car.
Personally i believe his portfolio talk is mostly BS, i dont believe he has any meaningful amount of money to his name at this point from what ive seen in his many videos by now. Does not compute at all to me. He has shown a willingness/capability to come up with lies when it serves him or he wants to paint a better picture of himself.
It would be interesting to know how big his bankroll is at the moment though, or how much money he has liquid to him in cash or in his bank account.

Oil changes like tire rotation is a complete scam.

You wouldn't happen to have a source you could cite for your claims ?
Are you asserting causation, and if so, in what way ....that drinking alcohol causes higher income (which your first sentence implies might be the case) or that higher income causes one to drink alcohol?

Car prices have some down a decent amount since 2-3 years ago. Him totalling his car in 2021 wound have been interesting.
Although despite giving us laundry bills of 0-5 dollars a month he never talks about things like car insurance or a cell phone bill.
Pretty sure if his car really did crap out or get totalled he'd just get another 10-15 year old car for free from a family member that's been sitting in their garage for a while.
Todd Snider said it best:

I asked him in the comments once why he doesn’t list his car insurance or cell phone and he just posted a link to another video where he addressed it. He claims that he doesn’t list those items because the cost is the same every month so “what’s the point”? I’m guessing it’s because he doesn’t pay for those expenses himself.
IMO Diesel seemed more upset about people moving the button unannounced in today's video than any of his downswings
I'm a habitual button mover (3 spots not 5 like the guy in Pittsburgh) , but i always announce when im moving it. i am hoping 75%+ of dealers are ok with this.
only one has told me he prefers no moving of it.
i should probably stop though.
