Trooper97 vlogs, discussions etc. will be allowed to continue in the new thread. That thread will not be unchained and I will work with the other LVL mods to keep it civil.
I personally am not going to allow a lot of the horrible posting that went on in the original thread to take place and I will be very generous with post deletions and bans if needed.
Posts the are overly derogatory, mean spirited, name calling (including using rude derivatives of names) , and demeaning posts towards any of the vloggers or posters in the thread will be deleted at the mods discretion. If any accounts persistently do this they will be banned or exiled from posting in this thread. In these cases we may issue a warning first.
Accounts that are used only to or substantially to troll post in this thread will be banned.
No personal family information or situations allowed in the thread.

OK Vlogger Thread, we are going with some new parameters to try to make this the POSITIVE vlogger thread that it is supposed to be, not the AIDS vlogger thread where a few loonies ruin it for the rest. Note that 'positive' does not equal 'only positive', it means anything negative being said CAN'T be namecalling or wild, unsubstantiated speculation regarding any and all vloggers. Then March through the end of the year play the ELD strategy and build up tier hours until status. By the time tier status is reached the reputation is cleared now one can start playing aggressively again.

A part of me thinks Rampunts is rolling in bookoo bucks and this whole downswing talk is just manipulation tactics to drive more views. Sheeeet, it got me watching and I've never watched any of his vlogs all the way through before this.
Judging by his thought process he's just an above average fish that clicks buttons way too much.

i don't think leon's lying but it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if he's down 7 figures and only showing highlights because his run is that improbable that despite zero evidence or vibes that he's lying, i simply can't rule that out becuase his results are to the point that he's the monkey in the room of infinite monkeys with typewriters that somehow etched out a tale of two cities
Anyone watch this vlogger yet? He has played a lot in Dallas recently but also has several recent vlogs in Vegas. From listening to a hand he played recently on a CLP podcast, this guy definitely has some balls (or maybe he just spews like Rampage).

He seems pretty good at poker, definitely was running like a god though in that session.
He seems to go with live reads and instinct alot, could definitely see that going badly when he's having an off day or if someone gives off reverse tells. Probably a hero calling station that can dominate bad loose aggressive regs but will get destroyed by observant players or players taking non standard lines.

Rampage and Mariano and all the guys who run the illegal app games are filthy rich, imagine getting to take a cut of the rake in your own online poker site without having to worry about the cost of paying for employees, software, servers, security etc. a 500k downswing is nothing to these guys and he's definitely hamming it up for views.

Yeah said this after he took the 500k loss. It's one thing to be all YOLO when you have nothing to your name, you don't have very far to fall. After successfully running up his net worth at least 500x and now making huge passive income from it he would be nuts to ever have more than 5% of his net worth on the line.

it's a fascinating thread mostly because he's no dummy and clearly a smart guy who i assume does very well in his career, he understands fully that he's run absurdly well and eventually he'll be an overall loser, but he has fun doing it so continues to do it

The APs who grind their leather asses playing Full Pay Deuces Wild or Full Pay Joker Poker usually wind up banned. Anyone playing exclusively on ~ 99.5% or higher return VP pretty much gets zero comps.

yeah you have to suspend disbelief entering that thread, at this point the totality of his self-reported results over the course of the decade is mathematically impossible
I usually quickly scroll through his video poker hits but still really enjoy the overall story progression and food/entertainment reviews

Diesel's vlog is focused on the poker lifestyle while Trooper's was also a lifestyle vlog and not a poker vlog. What's the common denominator??? Hint: win rate or lack thereof.

Diesel's latest poker lifestyle vlog. I love how detail oriented he is yet he shares zero information about the hand history. Also the lack of self awareness is off the charts. He literally said this in the description. He's literally one of these players. Also lol at most difficult. These games are the easiest to play in the country cause everyone plays mostly straightforward and weak tight. Not gonna make a ton but also easy to navigate hands.
If Diesel ever truly runs bad and gets stuck $2000, he's gonna think he's getting cheated.

Like losing with top pair vs top and bottom pair, not getting enough action when he had a winning hand, missing a combo draw, or a bad run out that kills his action. These are what he classifies as terrible things happening to him.

In Diesels world anything other than getting a full double up is a terrible thing. And when he does get a full double up he just brushes it off and says that's what should have happened anyway.

The poker lifestyle thing is ridiculous, poker life isn’t living as a homeless person, although maybe it is for a lot of people. It isn’t cooking weird casseroles with your mom during the holidays. Another hilariously ridiculous thing he’s done, not cooking with his mom of course but posting some gross thing and hashtagging it poker life. The crazy insane thing is that when you understand the entirety of his vlog and persona, not necessarily that individual act, but that done in the context of his vlog.

Yep, he was quick to share his MGM promo numbers when his hourly was over $20 right after that promo finished.
The saddest part of all this is if Diesel just straddled every hand, took the hat off while playing and retired the oversized basketball shorts he would be getting so much action he wouldn’t know what to do with it all.
Basically, he can change his appearance and personal rule on never straddling or start playing all his hours in California and maybe Herbs and Rye can coach him up. Otherwise, I don’t see him making it through this year mentally, this is the action time of the year compared to the late summer doldrums. Things will only get worse and even if Diesel goes on some Mat Moore-esque heater, he will only win a pittance with his current table image.
