2024 World Series of Poker May 28th to July 17th ***No Spoilers***
The 2024 WSOP will take place at Horseshoe Las Vegas and Paris Las Vegas from May 28 to July 17, 2024, with the Main Event running from July 3 to July 17. The Main Event – poker’s undisputed freezeout world championship – will have four starting days, beginning on Wednesday, July 3. Players may also register directly on Day 2.
Sorry obviously I’m thick, are you saying it’s like you can reg, but then you go to the “late reg” line, to say oh I’m here see I’m regged? If your already regged do you not just get blinded out or do you need to say hey I’m here, thanks heaps.
Just to be clear, at WSOP in almost all cases if you register before the tourney starts, your stack is in play and blinding. If you register after tourney starts, depending on how soon you register after it starts, you could get an actual table/seat # but your chips would be in the well. If you reg really late in a massive field tourny, you’re going to the “late” table to get your chips and seat card.
Also, you’ll have to make change at your new table, the “late” table will give you 2x25k chips if starting was 50k for example. You won’t get all the denominations starting stack. Not that it really matters but feels weird showing up with 2 actual chips lol.
I just realised there's no Short Deck on the schedule this year, which really sucks.
Anyone have the thread for the excel sheet every year? I can’t find it for this year. I guess it might not be out yet?

Considering the $1500 NLH Turbo Bounty on June 20, 1 day event. Hypothetically I make the FT, what time is it expected to end? Flight is around 10AM on the 21st
You plan to bink a couple hundred k and still fly out at 10am? Not sure if srs.
Last year with 2,226 entries, $1,500 Turbo Bounty did not finish in one day. 9 people returned for unplanned day 2, started at 2pm local and took 3 hours. Structure says 1 day event this year too. Looking at playing this, but hope to be doing day 2 of $1k Seniors
I might go and play in the tag team event with my best buddy.
2023: The event gathered 1,282 teams, setting a new record, and 193 teams cashed for a minimum of $1,602. First-place prize of $190,662.
It looks like Monster Stack was one of the tweaked structures - no longer one reentry per flight, so max 3 bullets and not 6.

Yea events schedules can always be tweaked. There have been 3 day events that end up with a day 4 etc.
Wynn, Venetian, and Golden Nugget all have yet to release their summer schedules. Looks like already a couple of weeks later than last year. Maybe a reflection of WSOP being a little later this year as well? Definitely interested to see what they all have cooking this summer.

heading out there from 6/26 - 7/7, room will be comp'd by host.. any clue what the 'standard' tip is for a hosts? first time having my nob slopped by a casino, so unsure what the correct procedure is on this front.
I assumed zero, I've never met my host and sorta prefer it that way.
that's a tad surprising seeing how ever f'ing thing in vegas has someone with their hand out.
Really depends upon how much you use your host. If he is setting up shows, or arranging any reservations, or getting you any other special deals then a Benjamin would be in good taste. If he is just your assigned host does nothing for you other than say meeting you at arrival then a Jackson would seem fine. If you never see him at all and say only get a text or phone call then he hasn't earned a dime. In theory it could get to be a lot more than a Benjamin but everything revolves around what you are asking for and how hard it is to get . Legal or otherwise.
Don't tip your host; it creates a moral hazard, given that they have the discretion to steer actual money your way. I know of hosts who have gotten into hot water this way.
This is just a shot in the dark, but if anyone is interested in joining up or staying together to talk strategy, save $$ on hotel costs, or just experience the WSOP together, then PM me.
This is my first time going and will be there from 6/26 - 7/3. Planning on playing during the following dates and events:
6/27 - Salute to Warriors
6/28 to 7/1 - Collossus (or other poker tournys on the strip with good structure)
7/2 - Mini Main Event
