Virtual Currency - Alt Coin Discussion Thread
I wanted to post a different thread to discuss the "crypto-coin" boom that happened this week.
For those who don't know, crypto-coins (or alt coins) have exploded in popularity among the bitcoin crowd. Some coins have gone from 5-10 cents to 2-3 dollars, making early investors millions. The market caps have gone from $500,000 being significant to the same coins have 20-30 million in market cap just two weeks later.
While alt-coins have long been a favorite of the "pump and dump" crowd - much like penny stocks - it's been their popularity in China this week that have many thinking if the run can be more sustained.
Even more, some (like WorldCoin) have financial services coming out that will allow direct crypto-fiat transactions...much like Coinbase is for bitcoin.
Anyway, I really wanted to get a good discussion going here of these coins. Full disclosure: after staying FAR away from alt coins this summer I recently jumped in to three that I like a lot and think they have a lot of long-term potential: WDC, Megacoin, and Peercoin. I'd love to hear what coins others like and the reasons why!

AI will be the best sector to be in. That and DePIN, some do crossover.
The main net launched yesterday. They have a bunch of DAPPs that are going to drive points going forward. Its... involved. Not a huge fan of the new set up but there is lots of money to be made here.
Their "stablecoin" USDB earns 15% native yield now.
You can then take it and deposit into logx and earn 41% on top of that.

Shiba is a bull flag here. Doge bull pennant too. Looks like there is an ETH ETF coming too. If it's like Bitcoin it will move off that. Haven't checked news on Ethereum etf much yet. EDIT oops didnt know the ETH thread was bumped.
Anyone have thoughts on filecoin? Might take a flyer on it. I know Arthur Hayes is pumping it.

Every bull run there's a sector(s) that will boom. Two cycles ago it was privacy coins Monero, Dash, ZCash. Last run it was DeFi and NFTs. This cycle so far it's been meme coins, especially on Solana since trading fees are less than a penny. I think that AI and DePIN will be the big winners when it's all said and done this cycle.

Everything goes up 3x but you're looking for the sectors that will do 20x or more. Last run the life changing money was made in DeFi and NFTs such as BYAC. This run it'll most likely come from AI, DePIN, meme coins or the Solana ecosystem. A year ago it looked like it would be gaming and metaverses but that has quieted down. Some will still hit. SOL tokens such as JUP and RAY will do well. CHAT is boom or bust as examples. The Avalanlanche and Base ecosystems also have a chance. Both of those are trying to build strong communities with meme coins. ETH and ADA tokens aren't that popular right now. With cryptos, the quality of the project comes way behind popularity. Many meme coins have no utility and will 100x or more. Some have already done that.

I think the 15% USDB yield will vary. Right now eth has been paaaampin so you have to incentivize USDB use heavily
I'm omega deep into blast at this point too. Spread thin af across the platform trying to farm.
Have been dropped .08 from pacmoon, about .11 from juice, and also got in on their liquidity even which is up about 60% rn. I'm doing daily swaps across the platform and have LPs all over.
My main allcoation is Juice. They have cross dapp pools that let you stack farms. There is no way to get double blast points, but you get stacked platform points for potential airdrops and stacked blast gold.
I'm currently rekt on $Yield from crypto valleys. Interesting concept, but its a whales game.
