Joseph Heller still dead, still at 76 (and other celebrity deaths): RIP Hank Aaron and Willie Mays
When an interviewer told Mr. Heller that he had never written anything as good as ''Catch-22,'' the author shot back, ''Who has?''
ESPN reporting that Mort died at 72. Sad.
How did this group miss this one? I guess I'm just old...... He and Eydie were a staple on variety shows in the 60s.
Good God; that hair, that silly shirt collar, that ridiculous microphone. Should have chosen a better pic to remember him by. RIP.
Just learned that Julius Caesar died a few years ago today. I'd say RIP but I'm pretty sure he's conquered Hell by now, and there ain't much peace down there.
M. Emmet Walsh. One of the memorable character actors. Terrific in Blood Simple.

noooooo! I mean, he was ancient. Loved everything he ever did.
He totally rocked in trashy Dolph Lundgren actioner 'Red Scorpion'. That's my favourite M Emmet Walsh performance!
Like all the great actors, always elevated the material, and never phoned it in.
He was so fantastic in Blood Simple. That's a performance that should've won every award know to man.
Richard Serra at 85. This sculpture is in San Francisco Modern Art museum, and another of his monumental works is at LACMA. I think his work is awe-inspiring. You're not supposed to touch the works, but I couldn't help myself. I don't think most people can.

I started listening to Daniel Kahneman's Thinking Fast and Slow last night after seeing it on YouTube. He died yesterday at 90.

Louis Gossett Jr, 87
RIP Lou Gossett Jr.
He was always great. I especially liked An Officer an a Gentleman and Diggstown. Diggstown is a throughly enjoyable movie that is just pure entertainment and one of those movies I wall always stop on when channel surfing.
Also Rip Joe Flaherty. Great comedic actor and SCTV pioneer. He always delivered.
John Barth now lost in the funhouse at 92.
