According to his narrative he already earns more than he needs, even though that equates to well under 20k per year. That said he still has to do weekly "challenges" where he either starves himself or sleeps in his car just to get by, but that's apparently is all by his own choosing.

Rice releases a video about his 2023 poker income where he actually manages to avoid mentioning what his poker income was. He then sums it up at the end by telling us 'there you go, poker income for 2023 told to you'

From the percentage figures he is giving I think his poker winnings may only have been 6 or 7k.

No matter what, he won't mention his 2023, or 2022 poker earnings.
Even for Rice, today's video is a low blow.

Free meals from mom and Herb are not counted and "other income " is probably birthday cash.

Therefore a successful year.

I'm assuming he's probably counting unrealized equity gains in his stocks as "income" to try and make it seem like he had real income.

it just boggles my mind how someone can spend dozens of hours a week slogging through nitty games to profit what, $30 a day, then count $20 in comps for overpriced food court food as profit, and then the goal be to get in a weekly promo tourney for a chance to win $200-300, never have a dependable place to take a shower or lay down, refuse to walk anywhere for a better experience that the monorail doesn't directly service, and honestly think you are winning at life

and even more boggling are the dozens of droolers that look up that as something admirable

The levels of cope in Diesel's results video are off the charts.

His expenses are like $1.2k/month, maybe $15k for the year, and he made half of that from poker and half from "other income".

I'm guessing somewhere around $7k from poker, $3-4k from YouTube revenue, $3-4k from dividends/unrealized gains on an $80k portfolio or whatever he has that he is also counting as income.

That's a huge yikes. Inflation keeps increasing, rake is going up, poker is getting tougher, and Diesel is completely unwilling to face reality.

His other income was vague but seemed like something other than portfolio income. He said he was able to make money from something else when the situation arised. YouTube income is probably around 100 a month. But yikes only around 7 to 10 K from poker. The end is near.

For all the Rice haters on here....

HE IS CRUSHING IT!

He gets to play poker for a living. He gets to roam around randomly across the country. He gets on the interwebs and even has a YouTube channel.

He eats food every day. HE EVEN OWNS SEVERAL PIECES OF FRUIT! he OWNS them. He can eat them, sell them, let them rot, do whatever he wants. He freaking OWNS it.

Has Rice passed a bar exam anywhere? Do you think ANY law firm/prosecutors office would hire him?

Could he even get a "regular" 9-5 job? If he did, would he be able to hold it down for more than a week?

Is what he is doing better than a minimum wage job? It is a close call, but I would argue it is.

Rice is simply doing the VERY best that he can. He is not a criminal, he is not on welfare/handouts. He is staying out of trouble. He IS consistently making money at poker, which is better than what most people can do. Judge him by what he is capable of, NOT what you, or others, are capable of.

Is he living the optimal life? Not even close, but he is DOING THE BEST HE CAN. So I applaud him for that.

To be fair, he did say all income sources did cover his nut.

He has to put divvies on his tax return, so it's fair for him to count that in his income. He reinvests those though, so probably not part of the "covering expenses". If your expense number is right, he prob made 10-12k from poker.

This video is so good, most people would say “I made xx amount of money from poker” when people give some long winded thing, it means something because to make a video that is about your 2023 poker income and not at any point say what your 2023 income is and then pretend you told people what your poker income was, is all time stuff from our hero.

People really will go to great lengths to protect their ego.

This reminds me a week or so ago I ordered a pizza in the Wynn poker room. A random beggar I had never seen in my life came over and asked me for a slice. Obviously I told him to pound sand but the audacity was pretty amazing.
