Survivor: GENERAL THREAD
I wanted to post something Survivor related but realized there's no general thread about Survivor. Each thread is about a particular season or votes for hottest, best, etc.
Given that who knows when/if the show will come back, here's a general thread to post all things Survivor.
I won't ruin the OP with my content post, so it will come next.
Enjoy and come on in guys!
BOOOOM!
Finally a decent ep.
Finally an episode that actually felt like Survivor again.
I feel bad that all 3 Asians are out so early but all of them made so many mistakes.
I felt like that puzzle was the easiest one ever for a Super Fan, I'm surprised that Hunter was that level of bad at it.
Pretty sure, he was just a fan and not a super fan. He said his buddy introduced him to Survivor and he did not watch seasons in chronological order. I've watched every season as it aired, and I'd probably screw that challenge up. I think I'd be particularly bad at the more recent seasons.
I definitely think they could do with a double boot episode early on if they are going to insist on the three tribe format. Just go with one immunity and make both losers go to TC. Sorry your Survivor journey was cut short...play better.
Challenge was very silly really as a concept. Any super fan such as myself is finding it incredbly easy, any regular fan would find it very tough and any casual/none fan would find it impossible.
Better episode but for me that was the worst pre merge in a very long time.
If this doesnt force Jeff's hand to go back to either 2 starting tribes or an early swap I don't know what will
You need to be pretty geeked up to have even a chance at that puzzle.
I didnt believe for a second that Ben could go out here.
Sorry Jungle Jem. If only Venus had her chest
I could definitely put ten in order, maybe even fifteen, but twenty would be tough without missing one. I also don't think they have ever done a puzzle like that before, so it would be unexpected.
Have to say it was wholly satisfying to see Jem get booted after that idiocy she pulled with the beware advantage. She intentionally made the tribe do physical stuff for hours knowing that it was all a big joke, and there was literally no point to it beyond her own satisfaction.
Haven't seen a girl get island hot like Venus in a while. Damn. If she had any type of personality she could definitely pull a Parvati run.
When they combine, it will be interesting to see if Q actually brings Tiff into the fold or she flips to Kenzie, and Tim is in for a rude surprise if he thinks Maria has his back. The only guy sitting pretty right now is Hunter IMO, but I can see him being targeted early merge because of his potential to win II. The way I see it post merge it will mostly be men versus women and the men get decimated. I don't know where Liz will land yet.
Can see five women making final 6 and then Hunter, only because he keeps winning challenges. Maria/Moriah/Kenzie/Tiff/Liz.
Just a solid episode of survivor. Relief almost.
Maybe Bhanu didnt do irreversible damage.
If denying flint to the losers is at all contributing to these disaster-tribe scenarios, they need to stop doing it.
What good does the fire do? Do they use it for heat or to cook food? What kind of food? I am surprised I do not see more tribes get clams, crabs, fish ....
I have seen fires started without flint if it is really needed.
Fire symbolizes life

I'm pretty sure in early seasons they didn't even get a flint - they had to figure it out.
Yeah, I think in prior seasons you could get fire in a few different ways.
Figure out how to make it yourself.
Win flint as part of a reward challenge.
Go to tribal and bring back your torches.
You can make fire without a flint or a blade. But I'm not 100% surprised nobody learns how to do that these days.
Being able to make fire with no flint makes you valuable to your tribe, but that makes you a threat and might get you voted out early.
I still enjoy the show, but LOL having a valuable survival skill hurts your chances in a show called "Survivor."

I have literally never seen a single person voted out because they knew how to make fire without a flint. It's always appreciated and made you less likely to be voted out.
Deal Or No Deal Island keeps delivering. Very decent stuff
I’ve been recording. Looking forward to watching it when I don’t have anything in a few months.

I remember back in the day Yau-Man started a fire with his glasses. Have they outlawed that? I don't recall anyone doing that since.
Tonight’s DONDI was less good
Jem deserved to go. I'm wondering if they figured out she had the idol
Relatively good episode.
Now if they’d stop doing the same challenge over and over and over and over
Also meant to add, lolCharlie.
