This now stands for this thread:
Trooper97 vlogs, discussions etc. will be allowed to continue in the new thread. That thread will not be unchained and I will work with the other LVL mods to keep it civil.
I personally am not going to allow a lot of the horrible posting that went on in the original thread to take place and I will be very generous with post deletions and bans if needed.
Posts the are overly derogatory, mean spirited, name calling (including using rude derivatives of names) , and demeaning posts towards any of the vloggers or posters in the thread will be deleted at the mods discretion. If any accounts persistently do this they will be banned or exiled from posting in this thread. In these cases we may issue a warning first.
Accounts that are used only to or substantially to troll post in this thread will be banned.
No personal family information or situations allowed in the thread.
Update April 2018
********************
OK Vlogger Thread, we are going with some new parameters to try to make this the POSITIVE vlogger thread that it is supposed to be, not the AIDS vlogger thread where a few loonies ruin it for the rest. Note that 'positive' does not equal 'only positive', it means anything negative being said CAN'T be namecalling or wild, unsubstantiated speculation regarding any and all vloggers. Personal lives and anything aside from poker is OFF THE TABLE.

A new update March 2019:
NO ****ING POLITICS!
Up until this, I held you in high esteem. You had me fooled for a long time. You're a goofball, get out of your mom's basement!
I did suspect you might be a goofball by keeping such close track of Trooper's results so closely. My suspicisions were correct: you gotta to be a real weirdo to do that tracking. No wonder you have no clue about paragraphing. Get a life dude! That avatar is really pathetic as well.
Is sqiud face a phony too? Say it ain't so!
while i wouldn't do what he specifically advocated for a variety of reasons, he is directionally correct in explaining what is called the top down approach to sports betting - which indeed is profitable if done correctly where you simply treat it as a financial market
imagine if you were going to buy stocks that could only be held for a single day of trading and then would be sold no matter what at the end of the day
however, there were 20 different stock exchanges that all had slightly different prices and while they would all sell automatically at a consensus price, your entry price could differ from exchange to exchange - you'd obviously do significantly always going to the cheapest exchange, even if the stocks you were buying were dogs
you don't really need to be smart to succeed at sports betting - it's clear that I think jack is an idiot while also not doubting that he does make a living off it and I'm sure you'll all agree that I'm a first class dumbass as well
but you do need to have an autistic obsession with grinding out micro edges which in the aggregate should lead to positive ROI in the long run - the kind of person who is going log trooper's wins and losses for his entire career has exactly the kind of autistic obsession traits you need to succeed at it
Not all markets are super efficient, any winning dfs player is a winning sports bettor I imagine.
Will do you one better, pull up spank odds, open bet mgm, draft kings, espn bet. When you see bookmaker/circa/fanduel move a line and can bet the old line at mgm Dk or espn bet, or hard rock or points bet or one of these BS small time books, bet the stale line if it moved enough with injury news or someone making a bet that makes bookmakers move lines and you can tail that you will be a winner. Gotta figure out pump fakes and that could stop you, also gotta only bet the ones that move enough so might take a while to figure out that math. For football a move from 1 to 2 means less than 2 to 3 or 2.5 to 3 etc. There’s also arbitrages daily in a variety of markets that anyone can bet if they look hard enough. Lastly open up bet365 who updates live lines before others, pull up draft kings or espn bet, when bet365 has a big move on the live line bet the stale line at Dk or espn bet. Have to be very quick with this one though, you have literally like 1 or 2 seconds. Could also just tail people on action network who use advanced analytics to make bets like bike king
Congratulations you’re a professional bettor now and don’t even need a model.
I didn’t say anyone was a fraud, I said rx gamble and Colin from BJA are legit people as far as I knew. I don’t know captain Jack or even know who he is really so I said I don’t know about him. I imagine squid face is legit but I only know him from here, I don’t have intimate knowledge of any of these people except I knew one of Colin’s partners years ago
It’s not that hard to beat sports betting with models or without, the trouble is being limited and getting money down. At highest levels people have to do all sorts of nonsense to keep accounts open, bet losers, make square bets, bet on hundreds or even thousands of different accounts, billy walters doesn’t just walk up to the window at bellagio and place a bet for a million bucks on the Dallas cowboys, they won’t take his action.
Can think what you want, I live a great life that is a pipe dream to most people in gambling. The avatar stays
Say whatever about Jack, I don't care, but Dreamer is not Jack, have you looked over the threads he posts in the last year or 2?
Clearly he hasn't.
I suggested he do some research. Its ironic that anyone who posted in the early days of BJ21 and Sharp sports betting would know who we are and that we are totally different people.
Firstly I'm from the UK so the assertion that I am Cap Jack is a bit strange and bizarre.
Stanford Wong wrote a book in 2005 called Wong on Dice, which was his experimentation/examination into Dice control.
If you look on page 110 there are quotes by Captain Jack.
If you look at pages 104 and 108 there are quotes by me......
D.
Yeah then he would perhaps be willing to consider it. Just like he admitted he would be willing to consider a head coaching position for an NFL side. Meanwhile back in reality land it would be a move up for him to become a rest room cleaner earning minimum wage and zero tips.
I hate the NFL but I'd take an assistant coach job at certain major universities for a million a year, maybe two.
Clearly he hasn't.

What were your quotes?
Are they about Rice?
God save the Queen!
Diesel should ditch the newsletter and make a coaching handbook that's updated regularly to keep up with his dynamic poker style. He could sell the original and then sell a subscription service that would give his students access to each update.
Clearly he hasn't.

Yo, that's awesome.
it's so adorable that dreamer used a book without any real conclusions that has been read by maybe 50 people which literally copy/pastes forum posts and he calls that "quotes"
can't wait until the "wong on pokerlife" comes out and it's just a series of tweets written by our thread's hero
only someone who clings desperately to the past of having their forum post pasted into a book 20 years ago would think cap'n jack was legit
fwiw dreamer's quote was literally "why are you doing this?" and jack's quote was literally "I don't know anything about dice so have no opinions" - great content sourced from real experts who are definitely taken seriously
you gotta copy paste robustly in order to fill out an entire book on craps that doesn't even offer any conclusion
I hate the NFL but I'd take an assistant coach job at certain major universities for a million a year, maybe two.
I wouldn't do it for less than 3 mill but I'd do it for 4,000 dollars a year if I was a financial expert like El Diesel. Then I could become perhaps the third football coach to retire from their coaching money.

Imagine how far he could stretch that per diem meal money! While all the other suckers were out eating at restaurants he’d be back in the free hotel room with the rice cooker working OT.

The point was to show that we are different people known to Stanford Wong (JF) but I'm sure you know that.
Any reasonable person with a modicum of respect for themselves would apologize when they make a mistake.
D.
idk D, he seems to be calling you Jack there in that dm he published
in all seriousness you are right, I was wrong to say you are Jack, I'm sorry for that
however I'm not wrong in calling Jack a fraud and you disagreeing otherwise other by saying "trust me bro" and ignoring the myriad of times he's posted wholly incorrect info trying to catch clout is not very convincing - you came in here very rudely firing bullets yourself without offering any supporting evidence that he's not a fraud whatsoever so I'd argue that you owe me an apology as well
On a lighter note:
Jason, the Feather weighed in today at 454 lbs for his weight loss challenge.
Jason's weight loss goals are much too optimistic.
At the 5:25 timestamp.

Fair enough, apology accepted.
When you accuse a person of being a fraud on a public forum, the onus is on you to produce actual evidence.
What you posted are mistakes. We all make them. That's not fraud.
FWIW As explained earlier I am not friends with Jack but have posted on several forums over the past 25 years that he has posted on.
As a long time AP I also know well respected people who he knows.
In my personal experience I have never heard anything that suggests he is a fraud.
D.
perhaps fraud is not the correct term
but I think it applies given that the entire reason why he's tweeting about everything under the sun that he doesn't actually understand very well is to bring in business to his "pay me thousands of dollars and i can make anyone a winning sports bettor" business
perhaps deceptive advertising, immoral advertising, how about "badreg"
Imagine how far he could stretch that per diem meal money! While all the other suckers were out eating at restaurants he’d be back in the free hotel room with the rice cooker working OT.
Plus, imagine all of the boxes of Frosted Flakes he can grab from the team cafeteria, as well as packets of cream cheese and mayo.

That's a whole other debate.
The vast majority of people who join a poker training site will not end up as winning players even if they are presented with the correct information.
As mentioned I have no idea what the quality of information that is being presented on the Unabated website.
From what I have heard its mainly tools to snipe soft lines, which as a previous poster suggested only works for a while.
(Unless you can get multiple accounts/IPs with multiple burner phones.)
Again, I could be wrong about that as I have never been a member.
That's not the point IMHO. The value is to think about opportunities.
Find your own opportunities. Like most things AP. Most of the good stuff is not public.
There is value in networking.
D.
In other news, pman played 30 hours last week. Nice to see him put forth the effort. Hopefully he carries that momentum into April and plays at least 100 hours. If he can show a positive hourly there might be some hope for the kid.
He is grinding that $20 a day starter game money at Westgate. Did he come out ahead for the week?
That's a whole other debate.

yeah ever since I joined a few chat groups to meet others and begin informally collaborating with 3 others my knowledge and skills have gone up 10x faster than the years in which I did it as a solo venture
I regret not doing it years earlier but in all reality they probably wouldn't have accepted me if I joined before I knew what I was doing as you regularly see lots of people join and never gain traction and splinter off into the smaller private groups where actual things happen because they are clearly just looking for free picks
so Ryan DePaulo was an "ACR pro."
he was contacted by WSOP.com to promote their free games. which he started doing with so much vigor and unbridled enthusiasm in his last 3-5 vlogs they became unwatchable. meanwhile he didn't mention ACR once.
surprise: ACR fired him
what a dumbass
