I believe men to be the oppressed in American society.
I am wondering if violence against women in the western world is a result of opression and frustration from men who are not treated with respect but are made to work much harder and more difficult jobs than anyone else.
I have been considering the number of men incarcerated(and for how long), I think of the number of men killed in wars and I think about the number of men who are homeless(compared to women) and lastly I think about male suicide rates (due to lack of perceived value by society)
I am not saying the violence against women is acceptable or should be tolerated.
I am saying let’s look at how society treats men and women and let’s see if it’s fair.
Feminism is equality for the sexes. Let’s talk about the inequalities men face
Not sure how to quantify the abuses women face from men and vice versa
Not sure what's going on ITT, but I can confirm OP is tall, dark, and handsome.
Yes, the Venn diagram of men who are tall, dark and handsome and men who need the government to pay for their hookers is almost a perfect circle.
Men have it easy.
If I had to be reborn again, I'd re-up being a male again every time.
Damn guys, just find a woman who will sleep with you if this is such a big deal. They're not picky.
Can we get back to the part where the government pays for my blowjobs? How much flexibility is there in these plans? For example, instead of getting one girl every week, could I get two girls simultaneously every fortnight?

no if you know the meaning of fortnight you can't get welfare, it's the rules
My first reaction was to agree, but was just reading that life expectancy for women is now 6 years longer than men in the US. That alone slows me down.
While I'm a man I'm probably top 10% most fortunate all told, even that comes with serious pressures and stress. A lot of times men are very often socially discouraged from dealing with those in a healthy manner both from other men and women. I would go so far to say that the most emotionally intelligent guys I've known have also tended to be the most ridiculed and ostracized, while a lot of behaviors that are rewarded are extremely unhealthy. And again, this is among men that I think most people would agree are generally the most fortunate.
Of course women have plenty of their own ****ed up social problems and norms, but I think many of them also tend to use them as the sole point of comparison. No, as a man I don't experience some of those problems or to the same degree, but our issues are different. If I went into detail about them I'd be a complainer or the issues would be laughed off or marginalized. Maybe Millennials or whoever will do it better but from what I see so far they don't.
All that said, I certainly wouldn't single out men as "the" oppressed group as suggested in the OP.
Of course men that lost on two plus two think life is easier for men. They prob have very easy lives. I sure do.
Anyone who thinks all 2+2 posters have it easy has obviously never run bad in PLO tournaments.
you dont have to, you choose to, not that i blame you as they are hilariously bad.
even on this subject. had PW said, "men have life harder," i would agree. calling them oppressed is nonsensical.
The draft only applying to men and then killing them by then tens of thousands for imaginary lines… yea that’s not oppression
--This one hit hard. Just organized an entire day around an Ikea trip a few weeks ago.
