i wanted to not like the product going in (first womens game i've ever really watched) but i thought the level of play was pretty good. some terrible misses, but that happens in mens college hoops as well.

uconn was outstanding on defense vs. clark. her teammates really stepped up.

crazy how much better Uconn gameplanned compared to LSU, Clark had to work so hard to get the ball tonight

This one looked orders of magnitude sloppier than every other Iowa game I've watched. Part of it was UConn's excellent defensive gameplanning, but Iowa missed like 12 layups and had some horrible turnovers. There are always a few, but way more than usual, especially in the first half. Martin, Marshall and Arthofer missed a ton of open threes that they usually make. CC always has a bunch of awesome full court passes in transition for easy layups, and tonight Uconn didn't even try to offensive rebound and just got back so the layups were all one level tougher and they just smoked so many of them

Credit to Stuhlke for finishing super well all game and really carrying them, and then Martin with back to back hero ball buckets with the game on the line, but man that ending was so gross

Rematch with USCe is going to be must watch TV. South Carolina is 72-1 over the last two seasons and somehow going completely under the radar. I understand the CC hype, but I heard more about HVL and Angel Reese and Juju and Bueckers than I have about the entire USCe squad. I think I've heard more about Hannah Hidalgo than I have about South Carolina. Like, USCe has a higher 3p% this season than Iowa does. I'm curious to see what the line will be. I am guessing USCe -7 or so

South Carolina is super deep, they lost 5 players and reloaded, but they beat you with depth, Cardoso only averages 14 it's a little low because they destroyed everyone but she can have an off day in a game they win by 20.

Clark's game vs SC last year was the best performance in Women's tournament history, it's her final college game, I expect another special performance from her.

They're the Michigan football (28-1 over last two seasons) of women's college basketball. They're practically unbeatable.

Clark's masterpiece vs SC last year in the Final 4 is a big part of what really got her hype train rolling, it was a game where the 2nd to 9th best players were on SC but it didn't matter

What happens to UConn after NIL has been around for a few years? ESPN era has been pretty +EV for them going from obscure nothing to winningest teams in both men's and women's hoops. Probably has nothing to do with them being the closest major campus to Bristol.

whether it was "technically" a foul or not is completely irrelevant. the only thing that matters is whether the same foul would have been called if it was the other way around. If the answer is "no", then the game is rigged, period. Like i could re-watch Kings-Lakers 2002 right now and justify every single one of the 27 free throws that the Lakers took in the fourth quarter of game 6 but when you know for a fact that the other team would not have received those same foul calls then the game is rigged.

It will always be a BS foul no matter what anyone thinks. Try to call that ticky tack foul in a pick up basketball game and you'll get your ass beat. Either "they" or the ref wanted to make sure Iowa won period.

She could be, but college sports and fanbases have a lot more natural fans than the WNBA. Iowa fans aren’t the only ones tuning in. There have been plenty of great WNBA players.
