Moderation Questions
The last iteration of the moderation discussion thread was a complete disaster. Numerous attempts to keep it on topic fa
I wonder what it was over, haven't seen any announcement or specific post of Luciom's explaining the ban.
VideoPoker is a mod in NVG, amongst other places. NVG has a pretty low tolerance of posting on political topics and Luciom has a pretty high propensity to inject politics into everything would be my best guess.
ETA: Just checked and he's not a mod in NVG, so scrap that theory.

What does blue signify again?
And again, why isn't there a reference page somewhere explaining what the colors mean?
There is. It's a FAQ in the sitewide FAQ page. But it's very old and I think some colors have changed meaning since then. My best guess on color today is that red is for owners or super high up administrators; orange is for super moderators who overee all the green mods; blue is for admins who have mod powers plus other powers and do other types of staff/admin functions, but dont usually also act as primary mods for any particular forum, and then green mods who only can mod their designated forums.
jfc people love their stupid hierarchies so they can look up to some people and down on others (enjoying the sensation of power), even in a low volume internet forum.
Also a moderator team leader to authorise their holiday and sick days. And hold meetings. Lots of meetings.
The lack of a moderator team visionary (leader gives off power dynamic vibes, let's steer clear of that word) might be a blocker we haven't recognized, at our next stand up I'll mention that there's been some shaping of demand for one..
Bring it up at the next 2 +2 away day

How long is Lucium's ban? Did he even post in any other forum but this one? I dont see anything in his recent posting history.
I am not a big fan of random administrators who aren't even active posters coming off the top ropes to ban posters, but if it is only a couple days I am not going to protest.

I'm sure the whole 2+2 administration is relieved to hear that, the repercussions of a poster protesting another poster's ban would be felt for years to come.

Also, what's with you guys not being able to accurately reproduce a 6-letter word you see literally dozens of times each day? Doesn't seem like it should be too difficult.
I prefer the Latin spelling. Im old school like that.

1. You don't know how long the temp ban is.
2. You don't know if his ban was the result of a political post
3. You don't know if he posted something offensive and banworthy in a forum Videopro moderates.
4. Apparently, you don't know that posts that result in bans are generally removed.
5. The owners and Videopro will be relieved you don't intend to protest.
Any chance we could let this videopro guy mod the politics forum for a week or so?
I don't think an admin who doesn't moderate and has never posted in this forum should be banning people here.
