Great couple clips. Spot on with coat shopping.

Eagles taking a flyer on Mekhi Becton. No one in league heard of him I'm sure but in our corner of the world he was super hyped number 1 draft pick tackle. Years of hype. Finally last year the hype died as we saw him in action all year.
5.5 mil one year, which seems like too much. Maybe your coach can fix.

So I guess tank dell got shot (is ok) in a nightclub

I remember liking Becton over Tristan Wirfs in his draft year.

Nobody’s batting 1.000 in this game

Mother****ing Zeke is back in Dallas. This may be the end for me. Is it possible this was the worst ever off season for the Cowboys?

Can I already get Zeke any time touchdown on Thanksgiving? Cause that's a guarantee now.

Taylor Swift called Chiefs ownership and complained her hubby was underpaid. They decided to give Kelce a raise and make him the highest paid TE to avoid getting dissed on a track.

That’s just smart business.

That’s just swift business.

FYP

Please reassure me that this didn’t actually happen

Win/Win

regarding CBS' "The NFL Today" show... Phil Simms and Boomer out, Matty Ice in

The part about the raise is true. Contrary to early "extension" reports it looks like KC "adjusted" the remaining two years on his contract to make him the highest paid TE in the league and also fully guarantee his 2024 salary. 2025 salary becomes fully guaranteed at the start of the next league year.

Pretty surprised to see James Brown is staying on and to a lesser degree Coach Cowher. Most reports around the SuperBowl expected that Brown/Simms/Boomer are all out and Cowher as a big maybe with Nate Burleson taking over from Brown as the "host".

I think they couldn't have kept only one of Brown/Cowher simply because of optics on TV. Brown is in his mid 70s, Cowher in his mid 60s and everyone else in their 30s (Burleson technically not but he looks much younger than 42).

ok, so the Bateman 'multi year extension' details are out.

Given he had been due $2.5/2.7m ish for 2024 and would then have been a FA, he's basically taken a $2m pay increase for 2024 in return for giving the Ravens the option of two cost controlled future years if they want them - $3.5m in 25 and $6m in 26

Seems like the very opposite of backing himself from Bateman and very good business by the Ravens

Question about signing Tua.

Could Miami say we're going to sign you to a 2-year deal at $45MM/yr and $X/gtd. Then if you can stay healthy and get us at least 1 playoff win we'll give you a 3-year extension at $55MM/yr and another $X/gtd?

Is that something like that allowed or no because of how the salary cap works?

You’d just build a huge roster or option bonus into yr 3.

So it would be presented as 5yrs $255m with $90m guaranteed and then an option/roster bonus or with additional salary guaranteed before the start of the league yr in yr3

My guess is that it would be too tricksy to actually work the conditions into the contract but the Fins would build in the timing of the decision on yrs 3-5 with the financial parameters

I doubt Tua’s agent would agree to only $90m g but he would know better than we do what Tua’s market would be

RIP Bills season

OBJ to Miami for 1 year. Give me 450+ yards and 3+ TDs and I'll be happy.

For $3mil you can't ask for more than that I guess. Incentives up to $8.25mil in case he performs.

It's been over a month since he got the offer from Miami which probably means they tried really hard to find something better, potentially with a team that didn't draft a WR.

Hard to believe he's only 31. Feels like his last productive season was at least 5 years ago.
